That's the one I have and LOVE it, I've only used it a few times but when you need it, you need it!
Mine came from www.limelightpapercrafts.com ...they were super cheap...but I'm not finding on that site now.

I have one and have used it with good success. It was made by Pebbles, Inc and is pink.
I have the same one and it works fine. It doesn't take up much room in my tote or on a table. The problem is I never use it! I have used in once in a year and even put it out at a crop for anyone to use and no one touched it. I guess crinkly ribbon is not the huge problem I thought it was!

In my experience, the only time ribbon gets wrinkled to a point that it becomes problematic is when it has been tied in a knot or bow for a while and can't be reused without smoothing it out first. That doesn't happen very often! ;)

I once needed to straighten out some pretty mangled ribbon but didn't have a ribbon iron handy, nor did I want to drag my big regular iron out just for a 2 second swipe of ribbon. I saw my heat gun (for embossing) sitting out and thought, "Huh... I wonder......."
Worked like a charm, I was SHOCKED. And I haven't given another second's thought to that ribbon iron... even if it is pink and totally cute. :mrgreen:

Got mine at Joanns. They are $9.99 but with a coupon I got it 1/2 price. I even got a little travel ironing board in the quilting department to go with it for 1/2 price. Too cute! Mine is Red. It's a 50 thing ya know. Smile....

I also had the thought (but didn't test it out) about using the heat gun.
I have a small craft iron, but with my current set up and clumsiness, there's something about having an exposed hot surface that has me concerned! I figure the flat iron configuration will make it harder for me to burn myself! LOL
I've just started putting my loose ribbon on the Cropper Hopper things, so I do envision having creases. So, that's where I think it will pay off.
I don't have a ribbon iron- I just use a regular one. Not sure that will help you though. But here's what I do:
I store my ribbon on a ribbon ring. When I iron my clothes I'll take a look at my ribbon and see if any are wrinkled from handling. Then I'll iron them quickly. Usually they only wrinkled from being on a roll and don't need ironing much. This way they're always ready to be used and I don't have to spend the extra $$ on a ribbon iron.

I have purchased ribbon that comes on little cardboard inserts and it has folds - pretty deep creases, actually. The ribbon iron takes 'em out very easily. Most of my ribbon is stored on spools and doesn't require ironing though.

You guys are way too funny! If ever there was a serious and important reason for buying yet another gadget (and I've got just about all of them, except for the ribbon iron tho I've almost indulged........) - this is THE best reason of all - the safety factor. You could have very seriously injured yourself using the standing-on-a-chair-holding-the-wrinkled-ribbon-up-to-the-hot-lightbulb-while-trying-to-stay-balanced method. Don't think the concussion would have been worth it.

oh, geez, I think I may have to go to Michael's tomorrow with my 50% off coupon from somewhere else.........the darn thing is too cute! But my ribbons don't need ironing because I store them on clothes pins (all wound up) - a tip I found on another website.
I have the Pebbles pink one as well. I think I purchased it from tayloredexpressions.com though I have seen it at Hobby Lobby for $16.99 I think (I recommend using a 40% off coupon). Sadly, I have not used it as I thought I would. :(
All I can think is that one day soon the ribbon iron will be featuring heavily on the 'items I regret buying list'!!! I think I've ironed a bit of ribbon once-I used my usual iron-no offence but is a special iron for ribbons really necessary? I've never seen them, never even heard of them until now and I'm not tempted either-I just can't see how useful it would be in truth-sorry, not meaning to sound rude-just incredulous!!
I had one and sold it. In my experience, those little irons just don't get hot enough. On the odd occasion when my ribbon is a little wrinkled, I run it over a lightbulb.
