ok i know i saw this some where here... it was a white card and i believe they had used the rectangle nestabilities. I want to be sure before i purchase these that they will do what i want... i don't really want to cut with them, they will give me an embossed rectangle right, without actually cutting the paper???
Nichole Heady has a tutorial on her blog for doing this. It's here. I use a Zip e'mate and exactly the same ingredients worked for me to get this card.

You may also want the new magnetic pad..they hod your dies in place..if you are using Spellbinder (they say you can't use them in other machines--but I will probably try even though I have a Spellbinder)
I've seen some neat cards with this technique and had to try it out for myself. Now, I ended up making it into a window card, so it's not exactly what you were asking about, but the general idea is the same. Here's my card:
Ok, I'm totally new to Nestabilities dies...do you need a machine to cut these things with? I love the way these things look, but like I said..totally confused on what I need to start if I'm to use these dies.

Yes you do need a die cut machine, either the wizard (they are coming out with a newer model in May), big shot, big kick or the cuttlebug all work.
Hi, have a cuttlebug and love the embossed look of the nesties. I gather there are two sizes of squares (am interested in these) but am not sure what they R because I couldn't get exact sizes on the website. Which are the most useful sizes in your (collective!) opinion and will they all go through the cuttlebug? Thanks, Valda
Valda, the largest square in the Large nest is roughly 3 1/2". From there, they are 3", 2 1/2", 2", 1 1/2", 1" and 1/2".
The Small set is 3 1/4", 2 3/4", 2 1/4", 1 3/4", 1 1/4", 3/4" and 1/4".
Each set will give you squares that are 1/4" smaller on all sides as the die size decreases. If you use the 2 sets together, your squares will be 1/8" smaller on all sides.
Almost forgot, yes they will go through the Cuttlebug. As far as what size to get, the difference is minimal, so either one would be fine if squares are what you are looking for.

Thanks muchly Cathy, that was very helpful and I know what I want now. Cheers, Valda
I received the rectangles today, too. Also received the petite small scallop circles. I have a big shot and found them very easy to use according to the sandwich recipe that Nicole put on her blog. I am finding it amazing how you can cut and then emboss right afterwards. I am so looking forward to playing with them now that they have finally arrived.
I was just wondering about the embossing mat, is it the same thickness as a sil pat. I have an oversized one and i would cut it down if its about the same thickness,
Are the nestabilities the same as the ones shown on Joann's as 'Geometric Dies'? They are from Wizard/Spellbinders... just don't know if they're different or not....
Thanks!
