You enablers!!! I just ordered the 6" base from Jo-Ann's with 40% off. With shipping it was around $30, of course, had to order another Distress Ink pad since they were on sale!

Do you have the product number? I did a search and couldn't find it on their website.
I would really appreciate it!
Thanks
Its the same link that is in the first post. For some reason, no matter what I try to search for it on Joanns, it doesn't come up. But this link does work. I can hardly wait to get mine!! Oh and be sure you use the 40% off code: SEPER640

got my small 6" base today, man I am loving this, but I can tell I need the small 6" size cutter too! I got the 12 x 6, would love the little one for smaller stuff I cut!
Anyone get the little 6" one? Comments? As easy to use as the big ones?

Got mine late yesterday afternoon. I ordered it from Joann.com on Sunday - couldn't believe how quickly it got here, considering that Monday was a holiday! I'm on my way to my craft room to play. I shall report later.

What a bunch of enablers! I ordered one from Joanne's with the 40% coupon and while I was there I had to buy more snap stamps! It arrived yesterday and I cut 8 1/2X11 cardstock longways It cut great on the ends of the paper but frayed in the middle. I think I need a little practice. When cutting less than 6" it was great. I got the 12X6 one with the small base.
I think you all talked me into this Could someone please share what colors the cutter comes in? ;)
The Tonic from JoAnns is beige and orange, mainly beige.
I also ordered mine from JoAnns over the weekend with a 40% off coupon and it arrived yesterday - I was shocked. And here I thought it would be safe at home, but, no, hubby hurt his back and was home from work so he was there when Mr Brown came. Busted!!!

Be sure when you are cutting a long piece to hold both tabs down on the bar. I found if I did not put even pressure on both bars I had some fraying. Hope this makes sense?

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who contributed info on the Tonic cutter. Mine arrived yesterday from joann.com -- I LOVE it! It cuts like a dream.
I purchased this trimmer after seeing this thread. I am just now replacing it.
Did you recently purchase it or purchased it back in 2006 when the thread was active? If so, that seems like a really good lifespan for an inexpensive cutter.
I mostly use wonderful rotary cutter, but have thought about getting the smaller Tim Tonic cutter as well.

2007 I purchased the one I am still using. Replacement should arrive in time for my weekend reatreat. Best trimmer I have ever used.
I have had my 12x12 cutter for at least 5 years an it still cuts like butter. I would never part with it. Loved it so much I got the 6' one for my desk for quick small cuts. If you are having trouble with bad cuts contact the company because you probably have a bad
one.
I just received the 8.5 paper cutter. Love it already. Cuts through watercolor paper like butter. No raggedy edges. It can't be used to cut top fold cards, or 12 x 12 paper. I would buy the bigger one if I had room.
