Red face Quick Question.... Which do I want?

Can someone please tell me which machine I want to buy to use with Nestabilities? I would prefer the most reasonable, but I would like it to work well. I get myself so confused with this stuff. Thanks in advance.

Default Machines

O.K. I personally do not own the nestabilities, but know some who do.
The ones that have them that I know use the cuttlebug. It is about 80.00. But you wait until Michael's has a 50% coupon and purchase it then.

Now, on the flip side. I own the revolution, squeeze hand tool, sizzix big red and thee sidekick. I also own the cuttlebug. Now that I have the cuttlebug, I would not trade it for the world. It takes all the dies. QK, sizzix, all of them I know of. If I had gotten it when it came out, I would not have bought all these other machines. Just my input.

I have also read where people got theirs from creative express. I think this is correct. At a Great price. Something like 35.00, but don't know if that included shipping. You could check them out.

Hope this has helped you some. I'm sure others will reply also.

Have a Great Day! Pat

Default OOHHHH....

Forgot, the cuttlebug comes with all the pads you need. 1 A pad, 2 B pads and 1 c pad. Also comes with 4 small embossing folders, which I wasn't thrilled over and 1 die. A book that tells you how to make sandwiches for different dies and sometimes you have to adlib on the sandwiches exclude something and use a piece of thin chipboard or cardstock or something. Hope this is not confusing. Happy Shopping!

Yes, I purchased at CE at the $35 price. Order it even if is lists reg. price or not in stock. When you go to check out it's $35 plus s&h and in stock.

You do not have to buy the one w/ the embossing folders/die, it's more expensive, no one seemed to like them and recommended get the machine only when I posted here at SCS before buying.

I agree...Cuttlebug...all dies will go through it. I have one and I love it! Used a Hobby Lobby coupon...can't remember what I paid, but under $40 for sure.
One thing with the Nestabilities though:
Be sure you order a tan embossing mat when you order your Nesties...you need it to get the embossed edge of the die. They cut the shape just fine with out it, but ya definately need the mat to emboss.
Good Luck & Have FUN!!!

I am going through this same dilema!! I thought I might use my Michaels coupon for one this week. I just want something I will actually use when I get it home! Good luck to you as well!

I also have the cuttlebug ~ I'm not quite an expert with the nestibilities, especially doing the whole embossing with them. I've tried some of the recommended sandwiches but I really think each CB is different & requires a bit of playing with to get the sandwich just right... I use part of a cereal box with 2 pieces of copy paper when I use the nesties to cut... I really LOVE the embossing folders & wouldn't trade my CB for any other machine (I haven't tried any others, but for what I do & for the prices I can't imagine needing any other machine).

Good Luck with your choice!

I have both the Cuttlebug and the Wizard. I had the Cuttlebug first, and it is a decent machine - but I have to say, I noticed a WORLD of difference when I got my Wizard. The embossing feature shows so much better when I use my Wizard, plus it is a stronger machine (the PSI is higher in a Wizard than in a Cuttlebug). The Wizard comes with all the pads that you need, too. HTH!

I use my Nestabilities in my Big Shot (same machine as the Big Kick) and it works beautifully! I think that any die cut machine you get will work with the Nestabilities, it's just a matter of preference - strength, how much space you have and what your budget is.

I have to agree with you! I've been using the Spellbinders Wizard for 3 years, it seems to have more pressure than the other machines. If a deep emboss is important to you, I would check it out. The Wizard is a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for...it's all metal, no plastic. None of the other personal systems can say that. They retail for 129.00 but with Cut-at-Home's 40% off coupon you can get a pretty good deal. They are on Joann.com for $99.99...but they offer coupons alot too.

Another thing to think about is waiting for the new Xcalibur by Spellbinders, it will be out in September and is motorized, no cranking the handle, you just push a button!

I get a great emboss with my CB and Nesties---I add 2 pieces of thin chipboard to the sandwich and the emboss is very deep and sharp (I thought it had cut when I first took it out-it was so deep). The CB is very sturdy---can't imagine it breaking and for $35, what's not to love??!!
