Default Quick Kutz dies?

Can anyone tell me more about these? Are they like the nestabilities?

Has anyone used them? I would like to know more about them if you can help.

Thanks

QK dies are ultra-thin dies. Some of them (the line is called "Cookie Cutters") are similar to Nestabilities. However, they do not emboss like Nesties and do not nest as evenly as Nesties do, IMHO.

In general, QK dies come in 2"x2", 4"x4" and new 12-inch-long border dies.

The 2x2 dies can be cut with a tool called the Squeeze. Then the 2x2, 4x4 and 12-inch longs can all be cut with a Revolution. (There is a 12" platform available for sale separately for cutting the 12-inch border dies.)

QK dies CAN also be used in other machines. I have a Big Shot from Sizzix and use my QK dies in there quite nicely.

Default Quick Kutz dies

Okay, so I was reading the thread about Quick Kutz dies but am still not sure how to use them. I followed the instructions on the back but it did not seem to work. I have a Sizzix Big Shot and here is what I did:

placed cutting pad on platform
placed a magnetic piece on that
placed the metal die, smooth side down, on the magnetic sheet
placed paper
placed foam piece
placed cutting pad

This process resulted in cutting the foam piece too. Can anyone help this lame crafter? I searched for tutorials but could not find one.

Thank you so much!

Try this sandwich:

Multipurpose platform - closed
cutting mat
quickutz die, cutting edge facing up
paper
cutting mat
