Okay- these new humongous punches are fabulous to use .... but storage has become an issue!
These are too heavy to store in my plastic mini chest drawers. The weight is warping the drawers and frame, effecting the other drawers. Also my space is extremely limited!
Has anyone found a tall wood style chest with lots and lots of drawers ranging from 2" to 4" in depth for storing just punches in? Or would that be called something other than a 'chest'?
I use a curtain rod attached to the wall above my table. Perfect size for all but the smallest punches

I don't know where your stamping space is located or how much dedicated space you have, but I bought a vinyl gutter and hubby hang it above my stampin desk. This wroks great. Here's a link to a picture of my setup....
I can load them if someone will give me directions. Apparently my pic is too large. Can someone give me directions for changing it so I can upload. Thanks

I have uploaded a picture in my gallery. Still haven't figured out how to link it. Boy I really feel computer illiterate.

Kimber4m bought some rods at IKEA that hold all of her punches, big and small. I have al my smaller in Whale size in mini drawers but I need an option for my Marvy Maga and Giga's. I think this rod thing might work!!
Here's a link to someone else's (since I can't find Kimber's)

I really love the way you have your's stored... actually your whole stamping area is really nice! I wish i could store my punches that way. I'm definatly going to keep that in mind for when I move next year and have a stamp room again!

Help!
I store my punches in just the type of chest you are talking about! I bought it from a friend when she was rearranging her sewing room...the cabinet is shoulder high, has 8 drawers that are about 4" deep and 14" wide and was made by the Amish in PA out of lovely solid pine. No saggy drawers and every punch is easily and instantly accessible....yes, every drawer is full!
Since these custom cabinets are hard to come by, you might check out www.HomeDecorators.com They have several wonderful looking cabinets. I don't know how to do the link thing, but if you go to their website, check out item # 41346. It is a tall, narrow chest of drawers made of wood - comes in 5 drawer, 7 drawer and 9 drawer. Price range is $229-299. They also have another nice looking drawered cabinet (wood available in wood finishes and white paint as well) - item # 42467. It has 7 drawers and is $199. This company also has what they call map chests - wide shallow drawers that would fit stamps well but I'm not sure the drawers would be deep enough for some of the humungous punches we like! ;)
You might also check out second hand stores in your area - they might have just what you are looking for at a bargain price! Good luck with your hunt!
#30974 Just might work!! It has 6 drawers that are only 2.25 deep and then 2 drawers that are 6.25 deep --- and it is on casters so I can move it around to where I am working. I do not have a dedicated space like so many of you have otherwise I would definitely go with the gutter idea. Someday ..... dream dream dream ....
#30976 is also really nice but only has one deeper drawer, has more storage therefore is bigger and is even more expensive.

Very cool! I was looking for a rack (like something you'd hang in your kitchen), but this is very similar... and I know I have spare curtain rods somewhere. Thanks!

These drawers hold the larger style punches from SU if you are looking to store in pull out drawers.....
They hold up to punch weight, the manufacturer has a picture of it and claims it to be so!!!!
I use a cart with drawers, with each drawer having one type of punch (i.e. ovals, circles, small, medium, tags, etc.) This works well for me as it is convenient, the punches are out of sight but very easily accessible.
jtax, these drawers are similar to the ones I have and the weight of the punches is warping the drawers- although I have been using the same carts for over 7 years now.

Hmmm, will have to be watchful for the warping. I have been using these carts several years now and they have been pretty full most of that time, although my punch collection grows constantly. So far, so good, but
I will definately be on the lookout...
One of the reasons I wnet to my rain gutter, other than the convenience of having them at my fingertips is that they warped the drawers I used to store them in.
I'm using the clear over the door shoe holder and it works great, it's also full already. If I ever get enough room I think I'd like to use the gutter system. I don't know if the walls would hold the weight as I live in a mobil home.
I have pegboard next to my work area and have added L-shaped pegs that my large punches hang on, and the tool holder is where I keep my little punches. I am thinking about adding a shelf for my little punches though.
