I'm wondering if this has happened to you. If so, what did you do to fix it?
I purchased some Stickles at the crop of the Memories Expo in may from a vendor that did NOT want to have to take them back home as baggage. I don't even know her name or store.
Anyway, I tried to use the Burgundy stickles on some cards last night and all I could get to come out was CLEAR liquid. It was very difficult to get even that out. I tried a pin and that didn't help either.
I haven't experienced this with the diamond or Frosted lace.
Any ideas to help me? My Christmas cards will thank you - they truly need some Stickled-bling

I had a similar problem - except mine was NOTHING came out. Tried the exact same solution (a pin) and to no avail. My LSS told me that was a problem and there was nothing I could do as the containers are sealed.
(and unfortunately she didn't offer to exchange it eitehr!)
I've have a Xmas Red that is bad at doing that ~ I've just had to take the entire tip off & clean it out~ I also, took a larger pin & widened the tip a bit ~ and I haven't had any problems since.
Some bottles have this problem all the time, others never seem to get stuck. I always use a pin and it always comes open for me. There is a way to get the lid off, as I have done it. It looks like a single unit, but you really can get the top part off by prying it with a knife. I know my friend swore up and down that she couldnt get anything to come out of one of her bottles of Stickles, even with a pin. I said "if I get it to work, can I have it"? She of course said yes because she KNEW I wouldnt get it to work. So over she comes, I stick a pin down the hole, move it around a bit and it comes out immediately. Dont know why, but I can get it to come out every time, lol !!!! I would try it again and give it a real good wiggle down there. Good luck!
A couple of mine do that occasionally, and once in a fit of frustration, I took some tiny sharp scissors to the nozzle. I just cut a very small piece off, and I think it made the hole a tiny bit bigger and now it works just fine!
I wrote the company once about a clogging problem. Separating of chemicals inside could also be due to clogging. I was told that air bubbles form inside and need to be unplugged. A pin is not always enough to do the trick. They recommend pulling open a paperclip and sticking it all the way in. It works; so now I just keep that paperclip in the box with my Stickles.
I have had the same problem, glad to know I am not the only one, I have used a safty pin, and it seemed to do the trick so far, I like the warming up idea, must try that also.

After using, I always store my stickles upside down in a round short glass. I nevser seem to have a problem. The glass is like on you would make a cocktail in.

That sounds like a good idea, except I need all my glasses for cocktails...unless, I just start drinking straight out of bottle
Just kidding...kind of.
Anyway. If you have a tip that proves itself to be a troublemaker and a tip that generally provides good service, try switching it out. That way you'll know if it's the tip.
The tip can easily be removed. I personally use some wire plier thingy I got that has cylindrical tips. That way it won't damage the tip. But I would think you could take it off carefully with a pair of pliers making sure not to squish the tip closed. Or stick a long pin or paper piercer in to keep the tip from getting squished while your using the pliers.
Sometimes the glitter just requires a bigger opening. You can make the opening bigger.
So glad I found this thread - some of my cards are a mess cuz of the sticky stickles problem...thanks for all the advice - I will warm them up and store them upside down after I widen out the hole - which I had already tried but will try again...Thanks, ladies.
I have to insert my piercing tool every time I use the bottle as mine doesn't seem to "stay" stretched out. Kind of a pain, but I'll definitely try these suggestions next time I use my stickles. Thanks ladies!
