Default Is it possible to use Stampin Up's textured templates in the Cuttlebug?

I have been trying to use mine in the cuttlebug as I got a great deal buying the cuttlebug, and was told that I could use the Big Shot templates and dies, but it either just rolled through not leaving any texture, or I almost broke one of the plates.
PLEASE HELP ME!!

I have a sizzix set I got at Michaels recently...sizzix starter kit, it had 3 plates in it and it had a silicone rubber and impression pad included. I think it was 9.99 and I used a 20% off coupon with it. I have the Cuttlebug too, so the sandwich on the directions only works with the Big Shot... SO I had to figure it out for myself... I think you will need the impression plate and the silicon rubber to make it work....Let me go try it out...be back in a bit...

OK...Here is what I found to work on my Cuttlebug...

First sandwich
1). A Plate
2). paper you want to emboss
3). Sizzix plate
4). tan Nestabilities rubber mat
5). 3 or 4 sheets of cardstock(more or less depending on Cuttlebug tightness)
6). B plate
or
second sandwich
1). A Plate
2). paper to be embossed
3). sizzix plate
4). sizzix black silicone rubber
5). sizzix black impression pad

I use the tan mat too!!

These texturz plates do not emboss like the CB embossing folders, the impression isn't nearly as deep.

My demo showed us that if you spritz your cardstock lightly with water that the impressions with the texturz plates are much deeper. Try it!

I had also read that due to the design of the plate (instead of a folder with a positive/negative imate) that the texturz plate wouldn't be as deep, but I didn't find that to be true!

I used the first sandwich posted by jellychick...but instead of the tan embossing mat (which I do have) I used a 6x6 piece of rubber gasket from Home Depot. It's wider and "caught" more of the design on the paper.

But I will remember the spritz trick!

I was able to pick up a texturz starter kit at michaels last week for less than a dollar! WOOT!! I can't wait to try it out in my cbug!! Thanks for the sandwiches.
You mentioned the sizzix impression pad - is that the black thing you can buy through SU? I haven't opened my starter kit so don't know if those elements are included in there or not....

I love my cbug folders and the deep embossing so I hope i'm not too terribly disappointed!

By the way, just in case anyone missed the Cuttlebug Survey Provo Craft is conducting, please be sure to visit HERE to complete it. It's very short but you can let them know exactly what you want.
Prizes for taking the survey and prizes for being a follower.

And if you HAVE taken the Survey - THANK YOU!!! But visit again as there is a NEW SNEAK PEEK listed in the thread. I'm totally psyched about it too. One of my wishes is for more elegant/tradtional/pretty type stuff instead of cutesy-wutesy stuff. And this one fits that totally!
