Hi,
I saw the new in colors (a small thumbnail) of which my demo said was taken off the SCS site. I can't find it here. Maybe the picture is also a thumbnail. I was just wondering where it is. Hoping I can get a better look at them. So far, I love the light blue color.
Just had a thought. I wonder if she took the thumbnail shot from the Demo side of SCS?? It was quite tiny and when I enlarged it, it got blurry. I could still make out the colors, but am dying of curiosity. Want to see more!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing the colors. I love the guava. As for the others, I will have to wait and see what SCS people come up with to make me want to buy. That is what happened with cool carribbean. I plan on ordering about 4 more packs this month.
LOVE them. Not so fond of the soft sky as I was hoping for a more powder blue, but the red and the green are wonderful! The others are pretty nice too! Last year the only one I liked--but liked a lot--was CC.
CookScrapStamp, you are the grooviest! You won't get flamed. It would have gotten out anyways. And besides, what can we do. Nuttin. Just sit and look at the purdy colors!
Thank you so much for posting the In Colours sneak peek! Gives us time to 'let go' of last year's In Colours. I'm a sushi nut so the wasabi colour looks coolio; all in all the whole block of colours looks like they all coordinate very well with each other. Maybe I will make a year's worth of cards out of just the In Colours!
Thank you, CookScrapStamp. I like these colors more than the current ones. I only bought Cool Caribbean, but will probably buy all of these. I like that River Rock.
Yes! Another thank you to CookScrapStamp! Is it wrong for a non-demo to already be so anxious for the new cattie and new colors!?!?! The new in-colors look so yummy!
I am trying to do a close comparison of what they look like to some of SU's current colors. Anyone else have any better comparisons than me. What do you think. Yes or no.
purely pomegranate- rose red little lighter color
wild wasabi-old olive
Basic gray- going grey lighter color
Groovy Guauva- cameo coral can't tell or Apricot appeal
Blue Bayou- between buckaroo blue and Brocade blue
River rock- sahara sand
Soft sky- a baby blue color lighter than bashful blue

I really like ALL of them, but just like this years in colors, I will not be ordering them. I think it is ridiculous that SU started doing this. :(
I didn't think this at first, but now, I have to agree. It's like, 'geesh, more colors. Great. Less $$$ to buy stamps.' I'm in the group that is whining cuz CCarib. is gone. I'm screaming 'its not fair!!!' And that's SO not me...I usually just go with it..kwim???
Since I ordered the pads and cardstock, I feel the need to buy the reinkers now. I forget about them half the time cuz they aren't in my reg. stash of cardstock.
If SU wants new colors than for cryin' out loud add another palette...on principle, I'm not ordering either.
Soapbox broke under the weight of me stomping...

Wasabi is actually waaaaaay birghter than Old Olive. Much closer to Green Galore, but not AS bright.
Basic Gray is like Basic Black and Basic Brown, a "waterproof" color. It is just lighter than Black for a softer look.
Guava is close to Cameo Coral, but a little deeper.
Pomegranate is actually a raspberry color.
River Rock is actually sandier than Sahara Sand...lol
I bought some of the In Colors stuff, not even thinking about the fact that it will be retired in a couple of months. Which kinda sucks but I just tell myself that as long as you like it then who cares if it's retired or whatever. I too wish they would keep cool caribean, I love that color so much!
I certainly do. I just don't "get" why SU is doing this. Does anyone know?
I know this is going to sound like I'm being a wise guy, but SU is a for profit company. I assume every decision is a business decision designed to increase profits. A lot of folks will buy the new colors, or some of them and so on every year. More colors = more sales = more $$$.
I have no problem with this. Frankly, I did at first because I felt like I was missing out on something cool if I didn't get all of them.
But, then I thought about it and decided not to play "keep up with the jones" re: stamping supplies (but it is hard!! LOL).
So I concluded that more colors are great for those that buy them and it doesn't hurt anyone else who chooses not to buy them.

I believe Joan hit the nail on the head. SU is a business and as a business they are going to try to make as much $$$ as possible. It is also as they've stated, a way to keep up with the new trends in colors. After all we all whine for new stuff once we've seen the old for awhile. It's like a store owner once said to me no one comes in asking "what's old?" they want new new new.
I personally love having new colors come in every year. I've spent tons on stamps. Why not spend some on ink and paper to use them with? Sure it's not as glamorous as a new stamp set but it is the foundation of the final product. We all make choices about what to purchase and I have to say I'll be one of the people clamoring for the new colors.
oooooh, I like them, the 2 blues look like they go together really nicely as tone on tone. I knew I would like the wasabi-I love most greens and it really looks like they all work well together. Can't wait!
I certainly do. I just don't "get" why SU is doing this. Does anyone know?
When they were first introduced last year, SU! said that the InColor line was so that they could offer fresh new colors in keeping with current trends (which are changing annually) while leaving the main color families intact. I was a little bummed at first that these colors would only be around for a year, but eventually I came around and thought the idea was great because we wouldn't have to give up any of the current 48 to make way for more.
The only colors I really liked from this year were Cool Caribbean and Marigold Morning, but I'm in love with ALL of the ones for next year! I have a sweater set that's really close to Groovy Guava in color, and I like that Pomegranate way more than Cranberry Crisp. Even though I'm sad to say goodbye to that beautiful aqua color, in reality I know I won't use the retired InColors very much after June.
I was telling myself that the 07-08 offerings would be even better than the ones we have now, and IMO they totally are!

Just looked at these and something seemed really familiar to me and then it hit me.....
Purely Pomegranate looks like the old Marvelous Magenta
Groovy Guava looks like Cameo Coral
Bayou Blue looks like Buckaroo Blue
River Rock looks like Sahara Sand
Soft Sky looks like a soft Brocade Blue or Bashful Blue
Looks like we are getting repeats, so (insert BIG WHINE HERE)....WHY CAN'T WE JUST KEEP COOL CARIBBEAN?!?! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE?!!!!!
Ok, done for now! LOLOLOL *Big cheezer grin*
