Default Oval Punch in the new SU Mini

Does anyone who has the Petite Oval Nestabilities know if you could use the Nestabilities in place of the new oval punch in the SU Mini? I guess I'm wondering if one of the Nesties would be close enough to the same size and shape as the SU one?

If you have a catalog you can measure the oval in the SU! catalog. Gina K has the sizes of the nesties posted somewhere...I think she does. You could compare them. I know at one time Gina was trying to explain why it was good to get both sizes of nesties. I think that's when she listed the sizes. I measure the punches in the catalog all the time with a standard tape measurer.

Good luck.

well my punches are on their way but I already have the oval Nesties..and from what I can tell the punches are narrower/more elongated. Plus the stamp set is made to go on the punch so no worries about it looking funky on a Nestie .

and I bought all the punches out of sheer laziness.. easier to grab and punch instead of pulling out all the accoutrement for the Cuttlebug and running each layer through.

ETA: I take it back. the template in the mini is actual size and I just compared my Nesties.. the Nesties are more elongated/narrower.

I already have the oval punches...bought the circle including the scallop set last night. There's so many things that can be done with the punches and they're so convenient like everyone says. First thing I'm going to do is make the Sesame Street characters that Dawn posted on her site. She made them with punches and they're the cutest thing ever.

I think SU! ought to start giving me a bigger discount. I've spent some serious money there the past few months. The good thing is that it all works together and I don't end uyp with a bunch of stuff that I have no use for.

wouldn't that be GREAT if SU! would give us a discount that was proportional to our spending?!

hmmm... let me think about that...

Yeah, I sold my Nesties 'cuz I'd rather grab a punch instead of pulling out the CB, magnet sheet, etcetera, etcetera.

Now I stocking up on punches. Just last week I asked my S10 peeps if it was worth buying the scalloped square punch when I already own the scalloped edge punch --they all said yes, buy the scallop square 'cuz it's easier to grab and punch with that instead of lining up the scallops on the edge punch.

I think this punch will end up in the new catalog, so I skipped buying it.

You might want to check the PETITE oval scalloped nesties - I think they are narrower. I only have the original scalloped oval nesties.
