Smile Original sizixx machine

I have the original sizixx machine and the big shot...my question is why would I keep original since I have the big shot? Is there something the original can do that the big shot can't?

TIA!

Lori

I didn't keep my original when I got my big shot. I just didn't see the need when I could do everything with the big shot that the original could do.

I just got my Big Shot the other day and I have been wondering this also. I don't think I will keep the original but does anyone buy these now?
I haven't even used the new one yet, do all the old dies fit in the Big Shot?

I did keep "big red". Why? Because I have better control when I want to emboss only a portion of a piece of paper, or when I want to cut only a portion of a nestability or die. It is possible to see exactly the place where I want to stop.

I'm sure I can think of other reasons...give me a minute or two!

I kept big red but that is because my one daughter prefers it over the Big Kick/Shot and I knew that it wasn't worth it tome to sell it as I didn't really have any potential buyers. I do like the thought that it offers more control and may have to try that myself.

I kept my Big Red for embossing with my tiny embossing folders on the back of envelopes - it's easier. That being said though I am not sure it is worth the storage space just to do that. LOL!

I also keep it for classes so I have more than one machine for cutting or embossing. Soon though I am getting the Big Shot Pro, and won't be keeping Big Red - I need the space! I will be donating it to a local school along with some dies I simply don't use anymore. They are thrilled!
