I like the affect of gilding flakes but have not used them before. I bought some little pots of flakes (not Nuvo) and tried them but they were difficult to use and seemed much stiffer than the Nuvo how-to videos I have watched.
Are they easy to use? Is it just a matter of rubbing/burnishing them and brushing off the excess? Does anyone have any helpful tips? Thanks!
For larger areas and backgrounds, use foiling/gilding adhesive and let it dry a bit like the instructions say. For stamped images and smaller areas, I use heat-n-stick powder or die-cut sticky sheets. Use a very soft stipple brush or paint brush (small hardware store style, just be sure it's soft) for burnishing. Catch all the scraps you can, it's very fly-away and is as bad as glitter to clean up. I have a variety of brands of foils and gilding flakes from way back and they still work. I'm sure Nuvo's are fine, from what I've seen on TV demos.

When you have the flakes out, DO NOT cough or breathe heavy! I found that out the hard way. I like to use it on Double sided adhesive sheets, like the Stick It. Jennifer MacGuire recommended SWIFFER cloths for cleaning up glitter & flake. Available on Amazon. They seem a bit expensive, but you can cut each cloth into at least 4 pieces, and use till it's clogged.
