I called the Macon store, the clerk only found one wooden cupcake stamp, not worth the drive up all the way up there and back for one stamp. I will have to hope that the store closer to me has them in those boxes I saw stacked on the trolley yesterday and that they put them out soon, but I might have missed the boat in GA, or maybe they just weren't sent here.
I don't really NEED these stamps, but I really liked the frosted donuts, especially after seeing the creations in this thread!

I haven't played with my cupcake stamps yet but I did use the new donut stamp to make this card. I "glazed" the icing with Ranger glossy accents and added sprinkles (tiny beads). I love the new line of Studio G's at Mikes!

I REALLY love this card Vina! You did such am AMAZING job on the donuts! They look good enough to eat! Sigh, with sprinkles...
I spoke with the manager at the michales near me (Ontario Canada) and he told me that they don't have any say over what is ordered....it is just shipped from head office......and when it arrives they put it out......and!!!! that they get the left overs from what is not shipped to the stores in the states...........
thats not fair.........we like stamps here too in Canada not just the left overs that the residents in the states don't want

That card is TOO COOL!!! My DS calls them "glaze-eld" donuts!
I was at the local Micheal's earlier this evening...and they have the fairies and cupcakes clear sets, as well as the wood mounted cupcake and farm animal sets. I would be happy to pick you up a set of whatever you want (because we all know what ANY of NEED is more stamps....right?) and ship it out to you. Just let me know!!

I had been there the week before and didn't see them then. The fairies were all gone, but I'll be satisfied with what I got! Plus, I had a 25% off coupon and it worked, so I was very happy. I have some of the wooden mount as well as the cupcake Studio G stamps. After reading the post, I called my local M's and they had them. I cleaned them out.

I am from Georgia but I am in the Chicago area tonight and tomorrow (Wednesday) and was wondering if anyone that lives in this area knows if any of the Michael's stores have the stamps? I am kind of close to the airport but I can go a little ways around. I have a few hours to kill. I was so excited because the hotel we are staying at has a Michaels right in the parking lot but it is new and not open till April 5th. I was disappointed when I realized they were not even open yet! Anyway if anyone knows I would really tappreciate if you could tell me the address of one that might have them.

I was so excited to see them in person. I wanted several of the cupcake sets but only had one coupon. I got the 3-tiered cupcake stand - it's soooo cute!!
I'm hitting my store tonight - Been sick for awhile and just started feeling better the last few days ...so off I go. I will report back when I can ...I just LOVE the dollar stamps and most of my cards are made with them lol.
I picked up the cupcake stamps too...all of them. Too cute to pass up. Also, found some monogram clear studio g stamps and they had a whole new bin of farm animals, christmas (did not understand this) and these new owl stamps and different saying with scroll work on them. The set appears to be brown in color on top and put together as a set would be really nice. I picked some out and then went back and purchased some doubles for my swap group I am in. I used a 20% off total purchase coupon and it worked out great.
I got the cupcake, owl, Friend to Friend, single stemmed flowers, with Sympathy and one that looks like upsy daisy in the Stampin up catty. They really are nice this time. I'll share when I get some pics of them. Check out the dollar bin. They have been out for about a couple of weeks. Too cute!!!

I really want the whole set of the clear fairy stamps, but my Ms doesn't have them. If anyone has an extra set I could purchase, that would be great!

I hit three of our Michaels this week and finally hit the jackpot yesterday...got all the cupcakes and most all the farm animals. I say most all the farm animals because there were some I didnt want.

Went back today. I do not know why the manager said everything would be unpacked by 2 pm yesterday (maybe he had illusions of grandieur?) because today barely 1/5th of the stuff stacked on the trolley had been unpacked (I didn't think they had any place to put it all). I am sorry I wasted the gas. Maybe the donut will eventually make his appearance later. I feel like an idiot for making the trip there and wasting the gas.

Ooh! A new Michael's!! Might you be able to tell me the address or the name of the hotel it's near?
My quest for new clear Studio G stamps in Chicago-area Michael's represents the triumph of hope over experience. I can tell you that based on a relatively comprehensive survey of Michael's here, you will have a decent shot at getting the new wood ones, but not the clear ones. It seems like they've switched to wood ones as I haven't seen any new clear ones for ages.
Sorry I didn't see this earlier, and I hope you have a great trip! (and if you see any of the clear ones, do tell!).
I went back today and bought all they had...which was not much. No owl to be found. I did get the fairies. I am excited, the thrill of the hunt! LOL!!!!!

It was in the same shopping center with a petco and a new target. I think everything was new. Even the hotel was only about 2 weeks open............it was so clean and nice!! I really enjoyed my short stay and I hope to come back and stay for an actual vacation. Well of course I will be scouting out Michael stores all the way back to Georgia!!

Thanks for the new Michael's tip! I am glad you found most of the woodmount ones you wanted. I personally am a clear stamp person (i's a storage thing), and it really does look like the Chicago-area Michael's have switched to the wood ones. So I'm glad you enjoyed your visit/shopping! The new wood ones are indeed very cute.
And if anyone has any thoughts about the seeming jettisoning of clear stamps here, would love any info. It really seems like they are just not part of the product mix anymore, which of course is very distressing since I love these stamps!
None of the ones we went to today had any of the new clear ones. There was a tag for them but not even one! I usually just get the clear ones also, but I thought these were particularly cute.

Alas! On behalf of thwarted Studio G clear stamp seekers everywhere, can I ask anyone who actually locates the new clear stamps to say where they shopped?
It's getting to the point where I do not even gripe about paying $2 at Archiver's for what I will always think of as dollar stamps. I am just glad to see series that are not from the Dark Ages! Have not seen any new ones at Michael's near me (Chicago) for AGES.
i just picked up 4 different cupcake/sweets sets at michael's in las vegas, nv (centennial hills area) slim pickings though - and they did have the animal ones.
I went to two Michael's and found them all...the cupcakes, the faries and the farm animals - SOOOOOO excited I love these things - they are addicting lol....I just made a card with my easter ones ...here's the link if you would like to look.
