The machine is the same, the "new" package includes The Universal Plate System. I purchased the plate system separately a few months ago.

I replace my Cuttlebug with a Platinum 6 a couple of years ago. I purchased the Universal Plate System when it became available (I saw videos from Creativation 2022 & put it on a wait list.)
