If you are looking for a new paper trimmer, you may want to hold out for the new one coming out soon!
The owners from my LSS are at CHA and they put a pic of the new "Rock-Paper-Trimmer" on their yahoo group. It looks really cool! The best part about it is that you can plug your mp3 player into it. It has 2 built in speakers and of course it's PINK! They said it will retail at 110.00$
I don't see the big deal about it. It's a very loud color which I guess is a matter of taste. Personally, I prefer something more subtle. I'm not impressed by the look of a machine, it's the performance that counts to me.
I don't get the point of putting in the MP3 player.....why the music playing while cutting paper? $110 for a musical paper cutter is way over the top to me.
Just my opinions. I'll stick to my regular 'ol Fiskars 12x12 Rotary and 12x12 Bypass Guillotine cutters. Sounds like just another ploy from Fiskars to get people to spend more money.

I agree. It's not going on my wish list.

I third the opinion - I don't need my cutter to sing for me just to work properly.
ditto here too, lol! I find it so funny about the mp3 player...and my eyes would definitely go all googly trying to line stuff up with those bright colors!
thanks for the video
it's not something for me
I found the color too much bright
I am looking for a trimmer, if this one could came in a soft color or black and without speakers (I prefer to play in my computer while I am crafting) and if the blade is self-sharpening
for now... not in my wishlist
I think it looks like it would work great.. but I prefer the cutting and measurement surface to be plain. Even though it's pretty, I think it would be distracting. And it's neat that it can play an MP3, but I don't need my trimmer to do that and I don't think many would!
Thanks to the OP for sharing it with us... maybe Fiskars will tweak it a bit if they hear our opinions!
This is way over the edge. Man, who is going to pay that kind of money for that? Look out girls, this baby will be a steal on the clearance in no time! And I'm still not sure if it will be worth it!

For $110, it should cut my paper, take out the dog and vacuum my bedroom! LOL I personally like a cutter that has a rule on the right side arm, as well as along the top. Fiskars definitely needs to go back to the drawing board on this one . . . . Thanks for sharing!

LOL! Thank you OP, I know you were just passing along info and now probably are regretting you ever started a post. Just to put an idea out there, this looks like it is geared towards the tween/teen audience. I've seen a big movement in products for the tween/teens at the big box crafting stores and I think this would be right up their alley.
Over the top & definitely merchandising for the younger set (or those of us who have counted back so far we're about to start over) {:>) You see how current I am - plain cell phone, no ipod, no MP3, no talking car, but have almost figured out how to use my new cordless with VOIP.
Have fun anyone who goes for it!

Please!!!! Do we have to attach an ipod to everything? What are they thinking? Now if it came with the ipod, that prompted me for carpool, woke me up in the morning, guide me through my Bible study and told me when to get kids and where to take them.....maybe.
