I don't recall if my pixie pink marker came this way or if I am just really abusive. hmmmm, now that I think about it my dd has been using my markers. She is 12 & a good artist, but still. Hmmmm. ANyway, I am wondering what nibs I can get to replace the brush end of my SU marker. It goes on like a blob at this point! I want to stay in the lines! Yes, I AM the kindergartner who made the teacher happy by ALWAYS coloring in the lines! THough, it fails to carry through to housework. THanks for any help. And sorry for caps where they shoudln't be & misspleeled (oh that was badtypeing---ugy!). I"m half asleep. this looks terrible!:o
Not sure if Dove Blending Pen Nibs will fit, I know that these are the only replacement Nibs on the market that you can buy seperately. Good luck, angie
You know...I have to replace markers every order, as I let customers use them at stamp camps and workshops...That said, I personally destroyed 3 markers making my Christmas cards last year! LOL!
I figure the markers are $3, and if I can just TEACH customers to not destroy them, and that they are to be used like a PAINTBRUSH, not a crayon, they wuold last longer!LOL
My kids have ruined the brush tip of almost every SU marker I own. I had a little better luck with the Marvy markers. They seem a little more sturdy. Nevertheless, I don't know of a marker that can withstand the artistic endeavors of children.
My older SU marker tips are wonderful, but the new ones are terrible. I haven't been able to find replacement tips. I wonder if it is because the material is too expensive to make the good ones or does SU want us to have to replace the pens on a regular basis?

I will have to say I haven't mastered the trick to the copics just yet, but they will withstand the children. My two year old got ahold of them to "color" with and the brush tip stayed in tacked and the tip was still good as new.
I will agree with the others about the artistic endeavors of children and markers --
My SU markers were the older set, it still had Forest Foliage if that dates it. It was still in great condition but my DD wanted to use them more and more and I was in pain every time she wanted to color. I did two things -
!) I ordered a new set of SU Markers for myself (actually DH insisted because he heard me telling her to be careful and said for crying out loud get another set so you both have them) so I did!
2) Gave the older set to DD.
3) Got DD also some Crayola markers with the thicker tip and told her to use those for coloring larger areas. Filled up an old wipes box with those and though she still complains the colors don't match, she has cut down her coloring wide expanse of areas with the SU markers so that she can make hers last longer as well. SHe is 8 and still knows to keep them horizontal - had a big fit when my sister went to put them away the other way when she visited, LOL!

SU doesn't manufacture their own markers, they are made by Tombo.
