Default New Fiskars Paper Trimmer - with Light

So yesterday I was at M's and saw a new (to me) Fiskars paper trimmer - with an LED light. I'm not as good as remembering product names as some of you, but perhaps it was the "ultimate." Maybe?

Anyway, it's the only Fiskars I've ever seen with a side light. Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone own it or know about it?

I'm wondering if, perhaps, it's Fiskars answer to the Genesis with the light that enjoys such a wonderful rep. But this is less expensive than the hundreds it takes to get the Genesis. It was $70 (69.99 for your price-purists). Add to that (or subtract from, as the case may be) the regular sales and coupons, and it's reasonable - if it works well, of course.

I'm thinking this is a must-have, but would love to hear from anyone with first-hand experience before I jump.

Is it the new one that folds in half but is 12x12 when open? (Like the older black and silver MM one.) I saw it on the website but it said available late fall. No info on any new trimmers with a light but I will keep my eyes open.

Here's a link on the Fiskars site:

LED SureCut

My Michael's had it yesterday...I was going to wait and see what everyone else thought.

Well that's interesting. I hadn't seen that before. I am curious as well.

I bit the bullet on this one - bought one yesterday. It's been such a busy weekend, I haven't even had a chance to bring it in from the car! I'll let y'all know how it goes, once I get a chance to play with it.

Looks interesting, I may try it with a coupon. It has a nice fence at the top and the light can only help. I have the MM trimmer and my cuts are slightly off lately, could be user error, I need to thoroughly test it. I use it mostly to cut cs in half. I get accurate cuts with my Fiskars trimmer even though the blade has to be replaced often.

Thanks for sharing this info. I'm usually several weeks, if not months, behind on the latest and greatest! I love the fact that it has light!! My vision is not as sharp as it used to be so I think this will come in handy : )
