Has anyone seen the new 12" platform Big Shot they have coming out? It is not on the Sizzix site. I saw it on scrapbook.com. It looks really nice. They also are coming out with a smaller machine that looks similar in size to the CB. It actually has a handle and reminded me of a purse. It is really cute.
Just thought I would share this info. with everyone. I won't be the only one to be drooling...LOL!!
I went to the website but unable to find the new Big Shot. Would you be kind enough to type the link, please??? It gets me curious!!!
Thank you very much.

I like that the new Movers & Shapers shape dies (the small piece) can be used in the Big Shot & Big Kick. Those I will get for sure. The $350 machine that takes $60 dies? Probably not.
Over on the big shot forum there is more information. There was a 8 page pdf of info on it. Go over and check it out. It tells what dies will be able to be used with which machines.

There was no price when I saw the two machines...I see why now!! LOL I'll wait a while until the price comes down like it did for the Cricut, Big Shot and the Big Kick.
I fell in love with it because it is my favorite color, lol. Then I saw the price and fell out of love. We had these machines in school, ROFL! They were called AccuCut's, lol. They run the same price and take the same dies. I get the catalog in the mail. That is how my die cut obsession started. I was a teacher's/secretary aide in school so I got to make all the cool cut out's for the bulletin boards.
Maybe if you wait for an old school auction you can pick one up cheap. ;)
I think I would hold out for a coupon and go ahead and get the machine even at that price.....but not that much for dies! I know you could get coupons for those, too, but this is just adding up way too fast! Maybe they will come down eventually....
I am wondering when they finalize the price...or if that's really going to be it. I can't imagine that it could possibly be more than double the regular size Big Shot. It's not even a comparable price to any manual machine out there, so I can't see more than an elite few buying it even with a 40% off sale!!
I wish there was more info out there about the QK Epic 12"...with competition like that $350 seems like a rediculous price.

Ellison, the company that puts out the large format school machines, owns Sizzix. The Ellison machines do cost $350 and more, so the price for the Sizzix 12" sounds like it's in the right ballpark, at least for that company.
I'm not all hyped up about the QK Epic 6" machine anymore. I returned mine the same day because it failed to cut the center letters on the 4x8 alpha plates. Other people on a QK board I visit are having the same problem, and not just with the large plates. Shimming sometimes helps, but it's not working for everyone. Many unhappy customers there (and the usual Koolade drinkers, of course).
QK is also being sued for some of their offshore business dealings. (http://www.heraldextra.com/business/...1afbd4133.html) Under the circumstances, problems with the new Epic may not be their top priority. I haven't read any new info about the 12" Epic in a long time. The lack of new info has some people wondering if there's a problem with the machine or if QK is just busy with their legal issues right now. In any case, I'm not investing in their machines just now.
I am very interested in Xyron's new Creatopia 12" machine, though. It will cut, emboss, add adhesive, and laminate. Sounds awesome!
Oh man a 12 inch machine.....desire.....$350 impossible!!
Have you guys seen/heard about the Xyron Create? Creatopia I think is the name. It also is 12 inches and it embosses and makes sticky/laminate. Its $150. Here is the link http://www.xyron.com/enUS/Categories...d_Refillz.html
The PDF I've seen posted is the same thing as the scrolly presentation in the link in post #5, it's just in PDF form (pages instead of a scrolly thing).
Scroll down the screen at that link to see the die compatibility chart.

Does this sound like it'll take 12x12 paper, but the die cutting part is only 6.5"? Like maybe only the center part has the ability (power) to cut dies?
If so, that means it'll take the Sizzix Bigz XL dies & cutting pads, but not the new (and yet to be released) Sizzix 12" dies. Info at the other link says it takes dies up to 5" thick.
For $150, if it works like it should, it's a good deal. Sounds like it'll do what the Big Shot/Big Kick do, and also laminate and emboss 12x12 paper.
Okay, I am totally drooling over this...but there is no way I can afford that kind of price tag. As it is, I am still using the original Cricut, and only have four cartridges for it! I also agree with 329shana....where on earth would I put it?

On the right side, under a heading Live! On The Air... , are 4 videos.
There's also a picture of the little Sizzix Texture Boutique machine for embossing & Texturz plates. Cute! (But sort of worthless, IMO, since that's all it does.)
