I just can't wait for my nestabilites to come this week.
I have the Wizard (original) and it's sure delight to use with all dies out there on the market.
I can't say enough about their customer service. So you can be rest assured if you call them and visit the site that was listed up above on another message here. They will answer your questions about anything and are more than willing to help you with your problem.
I have my original wizard now for over three yrs and always had good service with Spellbinders. After all, they want to hear your questions and will help.
There is also a yahoo Wizard group, with Stacey (owner of the Spellbinders company) and very nice people there who will also help you with you questions on which dies work with which machine and everything else. There are some there who are the design team for Spellbinders.
Once everyone figures out their sandwich's for their Nestabilities dies will love them.

I am also waiting for the tan mat, but I couldn't wait to try the embossing. I cut 2 pieces of fun foam and used in place of the tan mat. There was a slight impression, so I tried it with 3 pieces and it looked pretty good. I tried 4, but I had to remove a couple of the cardstock shims to get it to roll through and then there wasn't much difference between the 3 pieces. I hope that embossing mat makes a little more impression but from the other posts comparing it to the wizard this may be the best it does. I love the nestabilities anyway.

Got my nestabilities in the mail yesterday. Im glad someone posted about this. I will have to try them out this weekend.

I know as crafters we can do *anything* but I do like what I buy to be self sufficient and easy - is that makes sense. Hate having to "make" something fit to my needs LOL.

I go to my local art store and buy one ply chipboard. It's around $3 for a
4'x4' sheet. One ply is the same thickness as SU's chipboard (excluding their books, which are 2 ply).
I'm selling two sets of nestabilities that I received BRAND NEW on the buy sell board...I preordered and am now in need of the money, so I'm having to give them up--so sad! I haven't even opened them. I'm selling them under the selling price (a little bit) with no shipping.

Well, I just calculated the ucutathome.com price with the 40% off, and this is what it comes to...76.99 (reg. price) x 5 (this includes the petite circles) is 384.95...then you take off the 40% and it comes to 230.97...then you add shipping which is $6.10 if you buy it all at once, or if you break it up each time, then it's $30.50 total shipping (5 x 6.10), and there's no tax with them either (unless you live in Utah)...even then it's less than $300.

I went to the company and read their 10-75% percent off deal. That only applies to certain items (monthly specials that they choose) and you can only use the 40% coupon on one item only.

I do not think Papertrey's set is complete as they do not have the petite circles.

You are correct Dawn, I counted mine and the complete set is 103. Papertrey does not have the petite dies. I purchased mine at Ellen Hutson's store. I had to pay shipping, but it was only $7.98 for the complete set.
For Cut@Home the 40% coupon applies to the list price, not their normal selling price. And their list price is $84.99 instead of Spellbinder's list price of $79.99.
I actually had preordered from Ellen too. I'm not sure if her price now is the same as her preorder price. It was a total (with shipping) of $346.99 for everything and a WONDERFUL gift for preordering
I think that ucutathome.com is still probably cheaper by a little - even at the list price of $84.99, the total (with 5 separate shipping charges b/c you have to order one at a time) is still $285.47...not bad still...unless my information is incorrect...I hope not b/c I'm still searching for the best deal before I start ordering and I was really considering Cut At Home.
I think you'll have to wait to see what the restrictions of the coupon are to know for sure. The cut at home site does say that the Nestabilities are on pre-order and it does limit coupon use to one per month. So, if you don't mind waiting and the coupon is accepted on them, then yes, they are probably cheapest there.
I ordered from ucutathome.com and got my dies the other day. Their customer service is wonderful! When I had questions, they would email me back within a couple of hours. You get ONE 40% off coupon per month to use ONE time. The 40% comes off of the regular price. I got the complete set of ovals which are listed as $84.99. After you take the 40% off and add $6.10 shipping, the total comes to $57.09 per set. At the time I ordered, it was slightly cheaper, because my invoice shows $48 plus $6.10, for a total of $54.10. So it appears the price has gone up about $3. Maybe there was a preoder special or something. Still, if you multiply $57.09 x 4, the total is $228.36 for all four sets. You just would not get them all at once, since you can only use the coupon once a month. But I signed my sister up and she ordered a set for me with her coupon, so I got 2 sets this month. I think I will go ahead and order the other 2 sets as well. I was very pleased with my entire transaction, especially since I had never ordered from them before.
I also ordered from ucutathome and had wonderful service! I got my first set from Ellen during her preorder special, and now I've ordered 2 sets from ucutathome. Like mentioned above, the first set was cheaper (54.10), and my second set was 57.10 with shipping. I will order my last set next month, which is actually next week. (I'm not getting the petite circles.)
The only 'problem' I've had with my dies and Cuttlebug is the die sticking into the B plate when cutting. It does pop right out, however. I will definitely be trying some powder on the B plate to avoid that. I'm very pleased with the cuts and especially the touch that embossing gives it. One of these days I'll invest in the Wizard so it's done in one pass.
I watched the Wizard video...it still takes two passes and redoing the stack to get the embossing. Just thought you might want the info.

I have really appreciated the great advice given here. I have used my nestabilities without any problems in the cuttlebug using the sandwich of,
A plate, C plate, die smooth side down, cardstock, B plate.
I get a great result and absolutely no sticking of the die into the B plate.
I always cut 2 layers of cs and have no more sticking. I just put the extra cut out in a baggie and that way I have a stash of extras for future projects.

What sandwich recipe are you using? I use the A, C, die (ridge facing up), cardstock, and then the B Plate. Mine runs through and doesn't stick to the B plate. However, after owning two Cuttlebugs, I've found that each machine has different tension and the more I use it the more it loosens up, especially after cutting several pieces of chipboard. You may want to place a piece of chipboard over your cardstock as a shim. I don't think your die would stick then. A very light weight chipboard comes with the designer paper packs, or a cereal box is the perfect thickness. I think if you use this extra piece the die will stick into it instead of your plate. I had broken my Cuttlebug in and then gave it to my Mom and bought a new one. Now I'm breaking the new one in, but I'm confident that after a few months and multiple cuttings, the tension will let up. Good luck with yours.

Hi, I just wanted to chirp in as well about the one pass through. I have the Wizard as well as the Cuttlebug. It's actually easier to run the dies through my Cuttlebug for cutting (my dies don't stick to the B plate). When I run the dies through the Wizard I hear popping and the tension is very tight. I do like embossing in the Wizard better. I have the two systems set up side by side, I do all the cutting with the Cuttlebug and then switch over to the Wizard for embossing. I got the Wizard from ucutathome with the 40% coupon. I ended up paying $77 for it, but as it's pretty heavy, the postage was around $14. I paid around $93 total. I just received another order today with the eyelet plate and a few more dies. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to play. Hopefully tomorrow.

Thank you so much Jerri Kay... I was using the A, C, die (ridge facing up), cardstock and then the B plate as you stated but the die was always embedded in the B plate. I just ran 3 dies through using some thin chipboard on top of the cardstock and it worked perfectly. It even embossed the cardstock on the first run through. You are a lifesaver!!! thank you, thank you. Guess I'm going to have all my neighbors save me their cereal boxes because my husband & I don't go through them fast enough.
Do you think my son would like the Nestabilities for Christmas or the Magnetix I Coaster? He is 8 Seems like I better not spend money quite yet on these babies till after Christmas! I have all, I mean all the Marvy punches plain and scalloped. I wonder.....

I have two sons, 17 and 14. My oldest was a Lego maniac! By age 5 he was building the Legos for 15 & Up. He's a senior in high school and has applied to Vanderbilt with a major in engineering. I had never heard of the ICoaster until now so I googled it and was totally amazed. I know my son at 8 would have much preferred the ICoaster to the Nestibilities. If you want his brain to be challenged, definitely get him the ICoaster, it is very educational from a "super fun" standpoint. He'll spend hours reconfiguring it. My son is also in Honors Art, he doesn't care about die cutters or anything like that. He teases me about my stamping because he draws everything and says mine are fakes. Too funny! Wow, after seeing the video on the ICoaster I think I may even get it for him, he loves building roller coasters on Roller Coaster Tycoon. His Ipod can be connected to this gizmo for interaction with the music. Totally cool gadget!

Oops, I have egg on my face! I tend to be a lot like my 17-year-old in that I take everything literally. Too funny! I thought with the new Cuttlebug out for kids that your son might have one and you were thinking about Nestabilities for that. Seriously though, that ICoaster looks like a blast!
