Default Need Help - Paper Question

Hi Girls,
I am looking for a place to buy the kind of paper they use in schools for art and math, or at least they used to use this stuff - guess I may be dating myself here

my best Paper description:
It is 8.5" x 14" (can be a bit larger) - it is a light tan color and thin. Almost looks like a recycled type of paper?
It looks alot like the huge sheets of paper professional movers use, but a bit sturdier.
I need about 2 reams of this stuff for a project, and alas, I don't even know what to call this paper to do a proper search in staples web site , etc.

Any of you who are Teachers may recognise what I am looking for.
Appreciate any suggestions, TIA
Tleigh

It sounds like newsprint, but that may not be the color you want. Try a commercial paper store, one that sells all kinds of paper in large quantities. You might also try a commercial moving company.

Manila paper! I only remember because of a teacher correcting those of us who called it "vanilla" . . .

Here's a link to it on the Quill website: Drawing Paper (this is the 9x 12 size; they also carry 12x18 : Drawing Paper
I couldn't find it on Staples, but I order all the office supplies for work thru Quill and they're a great company to work with. They also have free shipping on orders of over $50.

I have in-house tons of the moving company type paper, but it is too thin and fragile too be the same kind of paper I am looking for.

As for commercial paper stores - are you talking about Staples or Office Max, I looked on thier websites and they only show pictures of full cases, not the product. Also, I don't know the correct formal name for it.
These stores are a 30 minute drive away (one-way) and I just hate to drive all the way out there again too find they don't have it. Trying to conserve on the expense of gas driving around to find the stuff.
I just figured one of the gals here may know this paper and can give me a formal name and or a place I can definately order it from.

Thanks for your suggestions tho

Ohhh, thank you Cheryl!!!

I thought it was called manilla paper, but I thought that would be an olden-days term. Since they change the name of things so much these days, I thought maybe they had some new name.
Thanks, Tleigh

If you have teacher's supply store in your area they would probably have it there too. :-)
