Default Markers ???? Which are best ?????

I was thinking about buying the set of 24 memento markers. Would this be a good set to have ? Enough color choices ? I will be using them to color on my stamps and color in my images. Tell me what markers you all like.

I have different markers for different techniques....

I have the SU! markers for "general color blending and watercoloring." These are water based, easy to use with an aqua painter. You can achieve both soft and HEAVY color with these.

I have Copic Markers for "color blending and airbrushing." These are alcohol based markers that are very easy to blend. They come in various shades and tones that make color blending VERY easy.

I am not familiar with Memento markers, so I don't have an opinion on them.

I have the Bic markers. The colours are limited, but for basic colours they're ok. They're an alcohol ink marker and they blend well. One day, I'm gonna splurge and by a set of Copics.

I have never used alcohol markers (Copics and Bic MarkIts) to color directly on the rubber of the stamp.

For that, I use the water based markers by Stampin' Up!

There are other good brands of water based markers, also, like the ones from Marvy and Tombow.

I have a black stamp pad by Memento but none of the markers so I can't say how they would work.

I use all the brands I mentioned to color the image on the paper though and of course, as mentioned before, the results are different with the different types of markers. Copics and Bic MarkIts are very vibrant coloring. The others are softer.

I was thinking about the mementos because I can also get the ink pads to match and there are only 24. I know other companies have matching markers and inks as well. I just thought this way I would'nt break the bank since there are only 24 colors to buy. I just would like to know if they are good quality markers & inks.

I have some copic markers, mainly browns, grays. I do alot of animal stamps, and I like them alot.

For coloring on your stamps you want a water based marker like the mementos you are considering. I use Marvy for this and am very happy with them, but any water based marker will do this well.

Copics/prismacolor/bics etc- the alcohol markers- are NOT good for coloring on your stamps.

If you want one set of markers to do both coloring on the stamps and coloring in the images, get the mementos you are looking at.
