Default Making Memories Prcision paper trimmer

Does anyone own the Precision trimmer by Making Memories? I got one about 2 months ago and it is by far my favorite cutter so far (I think I have tried every other one so far!). My only problem is that the measurements (numbers and lines) are rubbing off! I contacted he company and am waiting to hear back. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem...

Is this the one that's around $59 or so? I'm so frustrated with my (several) Fisgars 12" cutters...I'm constantly having to get new blades and the most recent ones don't stay in the channel. I'm wondering which cutters seem to have a great track record...is this one you're talking about a heavy duty large one?

I have the same trouble, I emailed them and they are sending a replacement free of charge.

I didn't think about asking for replacements or to check on the problem. Thanks!

I've had my trimmer for about 5 months and haven't noticed a problem with the markings. I do have a problem with the cutting blade though. It doesn't cut cleanly, it leaves frayed edges.

It seems they are generous with replacements...you should try!

I really like the precision trimmer...especially the magnetic ruler that helps keep the paper from shifting. So far, this has been the best one.

I got an email back, I had to email a picture of it and they are sending me a new one in the mail. They said they fixed the problem with it since they got a lot of complaints!

I have been very frustrated with 12" cutting blades. The Fiskars I am using now "wobbles" when I cut so that the edge is not straight. The blade dulls quickly and when I flip the ruler up, the blade falls out. Unforunate for me, I am a stickler about things being even and straight. I don't think my measurements are even the same at the top & the bottom. I have tried several brands. Anybody have any suggestions?

the MM Precision is about the best I have come across...and apparently they have corrected the problem with the grid rubbing off...

I bought one at M's 2 months ago and took it back yesterday because of the same problem. They didn't have anymore in stock and none on order. They told me another M's across town had 1 so I drove over there today. Got home tonight and took it out of the box and the grid lines are rubbed off on this one too. Very frustrating! I'll have to try and contact MM about this too.
