I am new to the forum. I am looking for comparable cardstock that is close to the match of Stamping Up Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. If anyone knows, please let me know. I want to make Christmas Cards with those colors or something close.
Hi,
When I saw your note, I checked in my drawer to see if I still had any of either of those colors. And, I found a unopened SU package of Crumb Cake. 24 sheets of 8 1/2" by 11".
If you are interested, I accept PayPal and I am asking $10 plus shipping. I'll have to check on the shipping cost.
You could try looking at the brown tones at Cut Cardstock (here) — I think a lot of people like Neenah Desert Storm as a substitute and they have that, Glama Brown Kraft looks nice and so does Smooth Sandcastle Tan. You can request samples from them if you’re not sure about colours on screen (they’ll do up to three samples). I’m on the wrong side of the Pond to have used the company but I’ve heard positive things in the past.
Concord and 9th has two colors--Wheat and Nutmeg that would work well for you. Wheat is the same as Crumb Cake and Desert Storm. Nutmeg is a little bit less yellow than Soft Suede, but a similar enough color to work well. They go nice together.
I really like the Taylored Expressions cardstock. I believe it's a bit heavier than Stampin' Up. and I THINK the Taffy color is pretty close to Soft Suede. Pictures on the computer are HARD to see though. It MAY be a bit rougher than Stampin' Up too. But it's really nice cardstock!

Crumb cake remains a current SU color, so that can be purchased from any SU demonstrator. When I am looking for a close match of any color cardstock, I have small samples (2"x3") of each color--stored on a split ring and a label color name. When/if I find a close match, I will add another label of manufacturer/color name so I can quickly repurchase. A little OCD, huh? But that keeps me crafting, rather than spending too much time doing planning/preps.
