I buy my left handed daughter's scissors from Fiskars web site. If I could ever find a pair of left handed bandage scissors (she is a nurse) I'd buy them in a heartbeat. SARGE
I purchased a pair of scissors for my left-handed friend from Jim Marcus' Circustamps and she loved them. They are similar to the craft scissors SU! sells, only made for lefties. Click here and scroll down the page a bit. They are on the right side of the page.
I don't have any suggestions, but I have a funny story to relate. Growing up in a right-handed family, I learned to use right-handed scissors. It was the only thing I did right-handed. In high school, I started doing alot of sewing. One year I asked my mother for pinking shears for Christmas. She was so excited to be able to find me a left-handed pair. And guess what - I couldn't use them! I just couldn't do it. So we had to return them for right-handed ones.

I too am left-handed and am always on a quest for the perfect scissors. This is my 2 cents. Like one of the posters said, Fiskars. They make a pair of lefty scissors that have a red handle. I believe they are for fabric but you could use them for paper. Can be found at Wal-Mart (craft section) and Jo-anns.
I am also a nurse and for my bandage scissors I have used the universal kind from Uniform City. Anyone can use them. If she uses universal scissors make sure right-handed people do not use them. It bends the blades so they do not cut properly. It's just the difference in the way right vs. left apply the pressure. After doing many workshops my scissors might as well all be for righties.
I use their haircutting scissors mostly, although I do own lots of lefty specific ones. Mine are about 15 years old and still work beautifully. I was on their website last month and they do still sell them. They are ambidextrous scissors, so your fiance (or maybe just mine) won't complain about having to use left handed scissors.... gee, it must be tough for him!
I found the Fiskars! At JoAnn's today, and used a 40% off coupon. At the check-out, the clerk informed me that I was buying lefty scissors...I suppose just in case that wasn't what I really intended to buy, but it was most certainly what I was looking for! Thanks for the suggestions!
