I am looking for a nice ink spot or pad that stamps an even, crisp image & dries right away. Also one that comes in layering colors for flowers - I stamp a lot of layered flower images. I bought some from Altenew but they are terrible & do not stamp evenly. I have a lot of SU but they don't come in certain color pallets for layering. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
How about Memento Dew Drops? They stamp well and dry fast. I am also a fan of Palette inks, by Stewart Superior. If you can't find those, the Scrapbook.com brand appears to be the same formulation. Some of the colors are the same exact name. Scrapbook.com has a large color palette of their inks.
It may not provide what you want specifically, since it includes all the retired colors as well as current, but I have my inks arranged by color-layering groups. Some are retired colors, some are current.
I love the Memento Dew Drops. They’re my go-to when I need a crisp impression, over my Altenew inks, distress and distress oxide, Gina K and Hero Arts.
Most of my stamps are clear, but I have some rubber background stamps and Memento works great on both. If it’s a new clear stamp, it might just need a little conditioning first.
* New photopolymer stamps need to be "roughed up" just a bit to make them take the ink better. I use a dry microfiber cloth and wipe them off (not a gentle flick...rub them down firmly) before inking. You will see the difference on the surface of the stamp after you do this. It won't be as shiny. I tend to do this whenever I stamp with photopolymer.
* A stamp platform allows you to re-stamp an image in exactly the same spot if you don't get a perfect image the first time.
* The paper that you are stamping on affects the drying time too. The ultra-smooth papers will give you the most trouble with "fast-drying". They often need to be heat-set, and some colors are worse than others.
A hybrid ink would be a good choice for you - they layer beautifully and dry very quickly. The ones I have are from Impression Obsession and their line is specifically grouped in layering sets of 3.
If I don't have all the colors for layering a flower I use 2nd and 3rd generations of the color. To use 2nd generation just stamp off once on a scrap and then stamp the layer. The color will be a lighter version of your ink pad color. To use 3rd generation just stamp off 2 times on the scrap. This will be the lightest version of you ink pad color.

I know of one ink line that meets your first criterion -- Catherine Pooler ink all the way. Couple of "love" taps on a clear stamp, stamp and you're done. No fuffing about. Rich, full coverage and gorgeous colors. You could always stamp off on scrap paper to get your first light layer.
