Default I love my cuttlebug but really want a Big Shot...sigh

I love some of those Bigz Dies but they don't fit in the cuttlebut - right? I don't know what to do. The cuttlebug is so dang cute, I hate to sell it ;)

Maybe I am wrong and Bigz will fit?......

Bigz Dies fit in the CB like the SU Top Note die. Bigz die plates DO NOT. They are too wide.

And if you want to use the Bigz XL dies (the ones that make really cute boxes, bags, cards, etc), you have to use 2 sets of B plates end to end. They slip and slide (for me at least) and if there is a cut in the middle, forget it. I couldn't get it to work. :(

So I bought a Big Shot and now I'm very happy with it. I also love the multipurpose platform as it's one less plate to lose or break.

I think it all depends on what you want to do. Good luck deciding.

I'm totally there with you..I just sold my cuttlebug and bought a Big Shot from StampinUp! I love it! I really thought I would miss my bug, but I don't! Good luck deciding, I was on the fence for the longest time!

I know how your feel, but I finally got rid of my cuttlebug and got the big shot. I bought it at Ritzcamera.com for $67.00. I have had it for a week now. I am very glad that I made the switch. The Big Shot is very easy to use and is more stable.

I plan on buying the big shot this weekend at a special class/offer my demonstrator is offering and selling my bug!! I can hardly wait...from what I hear I will never regret switching. I have had my bug for 1 1/2 yrs and have only used it 10-15 times ever!! Why..becuase it is a pain to get everything together and it isn't the most stable and then it cuts, or embosses wrong and that makes me mad...so I don't use it that often! So I am really excited to get my big shot!!

Good for you! Sale-a-bration is an excellent time to buy the Big Shot. And the new Bigz XL die that is coming out in the Mini catalog in April is TDF!!! It even has a stamp set to match!

I'm on the other side of this debate....LOL

I bought the Big Shot a few months ago, hoping to replace both my Cuttlebug and Revolution in one shot...

Didn't work...now I have all three and the one that gets used the least is the BS. I hate the flipping on the MPP...and I hate to take it apart or I am back to juggling plates like the CB.

Oh well...maybe it will grow on me...it is the cutest of the bunch.

I am seriously thinking that way too! I have a bigshot club starting up and I guess I will have to sell my 'bug! I was thinking I would keep it for the kids, but really, who am I kidding, I just love it's color!

A (you only need a plate for the top) BigzXL extended cutting plate will fit through a CB after a few minutes of sanding or being trimmed just a tiny bit. The plates are ever-so-slightly too wide. :(

The time spent altering a plate once is minor compared to the time spent fiddling with multiple B plates and the gap and all that, IMO.

My father cut down my BS plates by 1/4 inch yesterday so that they will fit in my bug and they do and now I am happy, I didn't want to buy another machine.

Well fortunately I bought the big shot a long time ago and then bought the bug and I use them both. I don't want to get rid of either!

So the plate works in both machines perfectly? It isn't too small for the BS? I bet DH could do something like that then I can do both. Cool

I don't know if the cut down plates work in the BS, I don't have a BS, only a bug and wanted to make that work without buying another machine because I already own an Expression too.
