I really hate the Tool & Product Talk because it makes me broke, broke, broke But then I always have to go in here to see what's the hot and awesome must haves. Ahhh....
I have the ATG and the Cuttlebug
I'm still trying to catch up on Copics
I need to get a Scor-Pal!
Oh, what is this... new templates for the Cuttlebug that are coming out soon?
Man, now I wish I have the Wizard too... seems so nice too
This that this that... aaaahhhhh
Ok, who else feels like me
I have a love and hate AND an addiction with this category.
Get me out of here
I know exactly how you feel! I have things I never would have had. Had it not been for this forum, I never would have heard of them or wouldn't have known what to do with them.
This forum is responsible for the following purchases:
Cuttlebug
Bind it All
Scor Pal
Mega & Giga Scallop Punches
Stickles
And I can't even recall what else I have as a result of this camping out here.
On my wish list are: Nestibilities, ATG, and more CB Folders. I haven't succumbed to the Copics yet.
I think it's an addiction - at least with me. I NEED to be here! ;)
haha! I often think that tool and product is for enabling and wishlisting, GS is for actually talking about stuff you've got!
I think someone could write a cute thing that's like, "Know your personality by the SCS forum you post most in" Then break it down by what all the forums "say about you" haha.

Very interesting, Erin! I think you are onto something!

Yes, this forum should be called "Enable Me." And that's a good thing sometimes if you're seriously considering a tool or product and really want the opinions of others. I guess I enable myself more than I rely on what others have, BUT I would not have been on a Copic Collection mission without all the raves I saw here first. Worth the expense because the results please me so much!
Erin, that's great
I know where I post most and I know where I read most too... here :(
Oh, I forgot my nestabilities and now I want a Klik 'n Kut more than anything else, forget the Cricut machine. But wait... that's a different message board that started me on that KnK thing
I know what you all are saying. Everytime my DH comes home and see's me on SCS he starts asking what I have added to my list now. Because of this forum I have purchased the Cuttlebug and I am in love with it, and I have ordered the folders that I wanted, now I am reading that there are new folders coming out (time to save my penny's), I am also looking at buying Prisma color pencils because of the great things everyone is saying about them (all I have now is the Faber-Castell watercolor pencils which are great but I need more). I am waiting to see if the Score-Pal will be in the new SU book (I read somewhere that it might be?) if it's not then I will go shopping for that as well. The list is endless for thing I see and read about in this forum, and want to get.
I agree, it is even this thread that keeps me FROM stamping, as I am too busy figuring out what it is I need to have to stamp. Hummmppph! If I could stay out of this forum for a week, I'd probably spend a lot less $!!!!

Well I have purchased the Scor-Pal and love it. I am now a proud owner of about 13 Cuttlebug embossing folders and I am on a search for class's on Copic Markers in Virginia...............so I can buy some of them too. Oh and I love Gina K stamps!!! Love Love them. And my next stamping buying will be the Bella stamps. My first purchase has to be huge because I can't limit myself!!!
Yes this site should be called the enabler!!! And I forgot to add the nesties too!!! OMGosh I had no idea!!! (LOL,LOL,LOL)
Just have to add that I just reached "compulsive stamper" status with my last post. Perhaps it should really read "compulsive stamp supplies shopper". I was hoping that Glitter Queen would last longer than 24 posts, though, because I love, love, LOVE glitter! My friends won't play rock, paper, scissors with me, because they know at any given moment, I'll throw out the glitter sign, and no one knows how to combat that!

Too funny!!!
My husband... he just rolls his eyes. He can't really say much because he just spent over $2000 rebuilding his engine, getting something else that cost a lot and buying other stuff for his 64 Impala. Ok, maybe he only does this once every other year (big purchases for his toys -- not just Impala) but still I tell him each time I look that I just buy in increments where he buys in bulk
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can say this forum is the reason I now own
Cuttlebug, Bind it All, and ScorPal and several other items I had to have. (Nestibilities coming in the mail) In defense of all the enabling that goes on here, there is also a lot of education too. This place has sent me in the right direction to actually use all of things I wind up getting. Tutorials, videos and all kinds of resources that I wouldn't have found. So I might be spending more, but I am using it all! Now if I would just make some time to post some of it in the gallery!
I agree with the education part of SCS. Any questions/problems you might have can be addressed here and everyone is so helpful. Where else can you get all this for free? The way I see it is all that tutoring/mentoring/advising offsets what we spend on our addiction - I mean hobby.
It's a love/hate thing....you love it because you stay up on the lastest new cool items out there. But you hate it because it causes you to spend more money. Yet no matter what you could avoid it all together, but the temptation is too good to resist! LOL

With all "toys" I have purchased for my addiction, I probably need to up my homeowners insurance for all my valuables.. cuttlebug, copics, stamps, stamps and everything else..

Imagine calling the insurance company and asking for extra personal insurance for your craft? They (unless the agent's an addict too) would probably think we're nuts
I can't remember what my home owner's insurance is but I made sure that it's enough to buy the content of our home like what we have now plus our hobbies .
The Bind It All is a neat little gadget that allows you to bind your own books. You can do a gallery search for it to see fabulous creations made by the very talented ladies on SCS. Here's a link for you to see what it looks like.
So dangerous for a newbie to come into this category -- watch out husbands
I love my ATG. I've saved so much on tape already. Especially this year since I started creating something, scrapbook page, altered, hybrid, and cards, everyday. It STICKS too!
1. Prismacolor pencils/gamsol
2. Rubicoil
3. Bind-it-all
4. Nestabilities
5. Wizard
6. Cuttlebug and all the EF's
7. Scor-pal
8. Marvy punches
9. Martha Stewart punches
Without this forum, I wouldn't have any of the above. (Well, maybe a few of the punches.) I've learned my lesson, and refuse to buy Copic markers, though!! All the tips and techniques gained from here is definitely worth it!
Oh, this is a baaaaaad thread! DH has already been threatening to block this site. I've already succumbed to:
ScorPal (my mom got it for my B-day)
Wizard
Nestabilities (all except for hearts & paisleys)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders (only a couple more to get)
ATG
Twinkling H2Os (just came today!!!)
Unmounting
Craft Studio ideas
No copics yet, but who knows how long I'll hold out on those.
Here I am, up past midnight, reading about MORE things that I can't afford but will figure out how to buy. Just bought the cuttlebug (thanks to everyone who has ever typed the word), had a gift certificate for michaels...and a 50 percent off coupon, so that wasn't bad, only 40, but then..had to buy dies..and embossing folders...sigh.
I have also purchased a small set of copics...prisma markers too, the prisma colored pencils...and stamps enough to fill a wall. All in the last two months or so......just soooooooooooooooo glad my wonderful husband has NO clue how much this stuff costs...
Oh, and to those who don't have twinkling h20's....you REALLY need them, I use them on almost every card....and in person they are amazing.
Ok, now really have to get to bed.....or lurk some more ; )
Stickles are wonderful - all glittery! It's a really cool glittter glue that comes in tons of shades. The tip on the bottle makes it very easy to control for outlining or dotting/dabbing. You have to look in the gallery for stickles examples. Oh, and you absolutely NEED them!
my list is
all the SU markers
Prisma pencil crayons
Scor-Pal
gamsol
Nesties
Wizard
all those punches
ATG
Bind it All
so many SU sets that I have lost count
stop the insanity!! LOL

Reason: forgot some
LOL, I love this thread - it completely makes me smile! I'm such a gadget girl (crafting and tech) that I practically LIVE in this forum. And I have to say Putri, I'm like you - DH's hobby is cars, so I always view it as a plus; he's always spending FAR more than I do!!

I'm trying to decide which is easier to work with - colored pencils & gamsol or watercolors. I know alot is personal preference, but which do you find easier? Also, can you use just regular old colored pencils, or is it alot better with ones like Prismacolors?
My cuttlebug is supposed to be in here a couple of days (lots of thanks to you guys for my first big purchase!!!) and I'm already looking into die sets. So which alphabet set do you see as the most versitile? Which do you use the most?? And if you want one more question, which die sets do you use the most??
I agree that this forum "makes" me want to buy stuff I wouldn't ordinarily buy. But on the plus side, since I've been crafty for quite a long time I actually already owned some of the things that become hot here... not much tho!
I definitely bought my ATG and some punches and my cuttlebug and nestabilities because of this site and this forum. Also my cropadile... other things too...
One thing I still haven't purchased are Copics. I probably won't do that but I was tempted to buy one when I was at the scrapbook expo a few weeks ago!
