I used to love Stampin Up's Pink Passion. I want a new dye ink that is a bright hot pink. PTI makes raspberry fizz and MFT makes razzle berry. I believe that Memento makes Rosebud. Anybody have any recommendations for a hot pink like Pink Passion? THANKS.
Not sure exactly what Pink Passion was like but Adirondack Raspberry or Distress Picked Raspberry are both good hot pink dye inks without going down the neon route. I have both and they're almost identical - I'd say the Adirondack is just a tiny smidgeon brighter but you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, I suspect.
Second vote for Distress Ink (I forgot it)! Picked Raspberry Distress Ink is a great bright pink! I love the brights best of the distress inks including Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean.
Just checked my ink charts: StazOn has Fuchsia Pink, Memento has Rose Bud, Hero Arts has Shadow Ink Mid-tone Ultra Pink as well as Neon Pink, AMuse has Bubblegum.
I love hot pink ink. I have to add another vote for Pickled Raspberry. I thought I would never buy Distress Inks but Pickled Raspberry and the Peacock one sucked me in.
DeeAnn, I too have the peacock. Love it. I bought it at Michael's for under $2. I wish Michael's would carry the raspberry becasue I don't want to pay full price plus shipping.
This isn't about hot pink ink, but has any one had any problems with the old paper distress ink? I love Distress inks, but when I ordered the old paper from Joanns on line, it looks more like a muted peeled paint than a tan when I used it. Joanns sent me a return lable, but I wasn't sure whether I should order another one, or whether I just expected something different. I expected a light tannish. I ordered the refill and it is green also.
handotter- That isn't the first time I heard that happening. I think Ranger had a bad batch of Walnut Ink a few months ago. Years ago when I made my own walnut ink mine turned green too. It's a change in the chemical process or something science geeky like that with the walnut dyes. Ranger is replacing the inks the last I heard.
Before any scientists start typing at me, lol. I am a weather reseacher. ;) I am a scientist too.
Yes, there's been the occasional batch problem with Distress inks and Old Paper is one I've heard of being affected by going a greenish colour. If the reinker came from the same batch as the pad (possible if you got them at the same time) then I guess it's not surprising they have the same issue. Old Paper does have a slightly more green tone than Antique Linen but it's definitely not green so I'd say return what you have and if it's possible to get them to check the batch number and send a replacement from a different batch, get a replacement.
Hi. I started this thread. I purchased the raspberry distress ink and the color is fantastic. I also purchased the SIMON SAYS STAMP Doll Pink dye ink. It is also terrific. It goes on very bright and softens a little as it dries. If you are looking for hot pink ink, I recommend both.
