Default hodgepodge hardware

OK, call me hopeless...

I cannot figure out how to attach the piece that has a loop on it to the card. It has a hole for the brad, and a ribbon can be strung and tied through the loop, obviously, however, the slit is so tight that I cannot slip the cardstock through.

Am I missing something?

I slip an Xacto knife between it to pry it open a bit, then the CS goes in fine.

I just use my thumbnail (no acrylic nails for me!) and incidentially I usually attach these with eyelets that I set with the Cropadile.

I never even thought about prying it open -- I just use a brad to fasten it on top of the cardstock!

I use my paper piercer too...or anything that's handy.

Thanks for the suggestions. Rachel, it's funny you said this because I took a closer look at it as I wondered, am I supposed to even *try* to slip something through? Maybe it's just meant to fasten!

I'll try the suggested methods and can always fall back on simply fastening it when all else fails. :o

Very cool idea! I never thought of prying it open before. Thanks!
