inkpads-344, plus 38 colourbox, and that type of mini pad! Just why?
Plus reinkers for all the Adirondack and Distress inkpads.
Dies and die sets, just over a hundred.
Stamps- it must number in the thousands. I have all my u/ms and cling in A4 ring binders- 24 of them and there are well over a hundred stamps in each.Plus about 50 or so large woodmounteds.
When I've cruised thru blogs where craft rooms have been photographed, I've wondered why I am so hard on myself about spending for this hobby. SOME crafters have ALL the colors of Prismas, plus ALL the colors of more than one brand of ink, plus ALL the colors of more than one brand of embossing powder, plus ALL the colors of more than one brand of cardstock, plus All the punches, and All the stencils, and ALL the dies, and all the brands of powdered paint and ALL the colors of Stickles.....and then take a look at their zillions of stamp sets. SOME people have ALL the PTI sets and/or ALL the SU sets since 2001.I am stunned and amazed when I see these craft rooms all neatly organized with thousands of dollars of equipment and supplies.
And then I am tickled pink, because my stash seems paltry in comparison. But no way will I count my stuff. I'll just keep loving it so much that sometimes i feel like i want to hug it, I love it that much. It's too much, but all of it is well-loved.
More than I need, less than I want, lol! No need to come up with real numbers - it changes all the time, anyway (purging and buying, purging and buying...)
I have 30 years worth of stamps, no way am I counting them! Two desk drawers of ink pads stacked 4 deep; dies - that's all I've been buying the last 4-5 years and I don't really want to know how many there are but I have 14 mini binders full!
Hahaha OMG I do the same thing. I look at all these craft rooms which are more like mini shops to make myself feel better about mine, which looks like a paltry collection in comparison.
Honestly counting the items isn't as bad. What makes me shudder is the $$ count ... that will probably give me a depression.
And then I think, how much has gone into those huge craft rooms and they are all over YouTube. {{Shudder}}
I have about 40 SU sets plus maybe 20 sets of other companies.
There's about 10 stamp pads. I used to have all the SU colours but would never ever used the bulk of them so I sold them and kept the ones that I do use often.
Dies. Hmmm. Got a few of those :o

OH, my, WAY too much of everything to count!! I have more NEVER been used stamps, dies, ribbon, embellishments, etc, than actually used, enough dsp and card stock to wrap the globe, and enough ribbon and twine to again, wrap the globe in the biggest bow ever! If you ask me, I continue to "want and need" more, if you ask my husband, I have my very own store right here in the house! He lovingly says, oh, you're heading into the "crap" room? When clearly he means the "CRAFT" room! My biggest challenge is getting it all organised, cleaned up and keeping it that way! I tell him each card he receives is worth thousands more than a hallmark and is a collectors item! I'm lucky to have the volume of loot that I do and lucky to have such an understanding and supportive hubby, love him and this hobby to bits!

I have an excel spreadsheet with everything listed so that I can use for insurance purposes. I need to call my insurance company and raise my protection! I started in 2009 and my value of items is over $8,000 and I don't have nearly what everyone else has so you had all better get to evaluating! I included everything from cardstock, dsp, tools (Big Shot cutting boards, trimmers, scoreboards) pens, pencils, stamps, embossing folders, organizational items, etc. You name it, I added it.
Well according to my Evernote list I have:
53 SU ink pads, 71 misc. ink pads (includes my cat eye/mini pads)
82 SU markers
43 Copic, 21 Blendabilities
117 embossing folders
154 dies (sets are counted as 1)
289 stamp sets
and I'm guessing this is the only winner in my list:
789 punches (Love my punches and don't know what I would do without them)
It's a little scary to think how much money I've spent on my supplies over the years
All I know for sure is that I have 169 cricut cartridges. And as soon as the new CTMH Artistry bundle is released I'll have 170. When I started accumulating cartridges I stopped buying dies and punches, so I don't have too many of those.

Dies: COPIOUS! Interesting how I am now mainly buying dies that match stamp sets rather than standalone dies such as Memory Box etc. like I used to. I guess you can only have so many 'ornament' dies. Not a criticism of Memory Box or other stamp companies - just an observation of my buying habits.
Stamps: I thought that I had enough until I saw the Lawn Fawn Christmas Release the other day: they had me at snowman....sigh....
Inks: About 40 including about 6 useless white ones! Mainly Distress Inks & various black ones according to my colouring medium. Honestly haven't got on board with all the latest dye & pigment inks released in the past year or so - mainly because I KNOW I would want every. single. colour. :o
Can't give a figure on the stamps & dies: I would scare myself!

OMG you and I both!!! I am totally into matching stamps and die sets as well and not really buying the decorative ones anymore. Psst already got too many lol.
And oooh those lawn fawn ones made me spend a fortune. So I went on a bit of a purge of my regular ones so I could justify the small fortune I was spending LOL.
I am totally changing my style of working, hence out with the old and in with the new Can't wait to get my stuff - hopefully today - so I can do my counting ;-)
Gosh! I think I'm on the wrong planet, but I am really not "throwing stone" at anyone, this is just me.
I cycle supplies in and out of my craft area quite often.
If I have not used a stamp within a year or so of purchased or don't have a card planned out for that stamp, I find a nice new home for it. Same for dies, punches and other craft supplies.
I think about it this way: How many stamps can I use in a year? How many stamps have I never used? And the hard one, Will I really ever use it?
My take on this is due to a "high water event" that wiped out my painting "horde" of art supplies. Hundreds of pattern books, tracings, etc. Things I had never used or probably would never use again fast became supplies that ended up in a pile on it way to a garbage dump never to be used by anyone. And deep down, I know that I could never use everything in my stash and hopefully, creative enough to use something else.
So, for me this is how I keep my craft space fairly small and well organized and most of all.... fun to be there!
I don't have a count right now, but with my business I do have to do inventory every year. So, at inventory time, one of the things I do is purge. I am doing a stamp purge this summer, while I'm on wheels...nasty broken ankle and leg, screws plates etc. If I haven't used it, it is toast. I have been organizing and purging a lot since a I created a lovely studio in our home last year...aka the Mom Cave. It is my oasis and I love it. And everyone else is happy to have the other half of the family room back....
Now, you know that saying....my fear is that when I die, my husband will sell all my craft stuff for what he thinks I paid for it? Yup, that is me....seriously, he is so supportive and he loves seeing me happily doing what it is we do...
And you still aren't getting numbers from me!

I've done more or less the same thing, Kathy.....every time I make a purchase I add it to my list and keep a running total. I've also taken pictures of my craft room for insurance purposes. I started around ten years ago and I've spent around $17,000. I sell my cards so I've defrayed my costs quite a bit. When I look at what I've spent, and what I have, I too look in complete wonder at pictures of some craft rooms that look like my LSS. Some of them must be in the tens of thousands!!!
Anyway.....this hobby has bought me so many hours of pure pleasure that it's totally been worth it!!!!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock
In a nutshell: A LOT aka I dont know. I can tell you I feel a lot better now...obviously I am not alone. There is always the few in a crowd who can eat ONE cookie (ie my DH). Bless you. That wont ever be me. ;)
I will be the first to say how stinking jealous I am of people who have been able to really create a true room with custom storage, etc.
IE: I LOVE those super wide, shallow drawers people used to use for things like maps that get used for stamps...what I wouldnt give...pull out a drawer and see all of of topic instead of rooting around in a box. (((sigh))))
789 punches? Wow. Just the physical weight alone of that storage...one reason I prefer dies. But I also get it. If you need to make a lot of something...punches are way faster unless you have multiples of a die. Which was why after years I finally invested in some basic shapes like circles.
My saving grace thought is I paid full retail for less than...5% of it? I am past cheap into mercenary that way. Which is why my wishlist is so long.
Oh crackers. I have not given thought to the insurance Q..I think I need to start a new thread so I dont hijack this one. I have questions...
You can get a glimpse of my immense stash on this video. It is from the award I got last week. This is only one of my 4 rooms of crap as my hubby calls it:
I don't have a fraction of what you all have and I'm working to pare it down even further. I've found that too much "stuff" makes it hard to get anything done.
I recently made a craft bargain with myself:
1) I vowed vowed to get rid of stuff that I won't use.
2) I promised myself I would not to buy more cr@p, just because it's a 75% off "bargain". It's not a bargain if I won't use it.
3) Finally, I gave myself permission to, now and then, buy something I really want in exchange for doing #2. (I've got my eye on two SU stamp sets)
Currently, I have
63 punches (pared down from about 100)
32 dies (mostly Sizzix and some Memory Box and Nestabilities)
17 full-size stamp pads
12 cats eye stamp pads
200+ individual stamps
98 Copic markers (my favorite and one of my most costly craft investments!)
and tons and tons of paper, embossing powder, and more embellishment cr@p that I've not yet sorted through.
Last week I accosted a young woman pushing a child in a stroller across the Walmart parking lot. I forced her to take a few boxes of punches, foam stamps, flowers and stuff off my hands (stuff that had been in my trunk for weeks to donate, but never got around to it). The woman and her husband both seemed to genuinely appreciate my castoffs, which made me very happy.
I've got lots paper/card stock, ribbon, embellies, and other "stuff." But my biggest stash by far are my dies. I won't count them because it will get me depressed and I'll have to buy more dies to get me out of my depression ... oh wait, I gotta go count dies!!

I love everyone's honesty in discussing their stash. I'm not about to start counting either because I sometimes get a little overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I have but I always seem to need "a little more!" I've just recently started to art journal and I'm trying to catch up on Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2015 (flip frame size) so I'm thankful for everything that I have but... I'll continue to enjoy it and will try to bring thoughtfulness to those who receive a handmade card. It is so worth it!
I love living vicariously through this thread :-) And Amber, that space is truly amazing!
I live in a tiny 1928 bungalow, and since I live on my own, I converted one small bedroom into my craft room, which makes me really happy. I feel like I'm shopping all the time :-) but my WM rubber stamps fit into a two-drawer rolling file cart, and my clear/cling stamps into one of those desktop hanging file containers. My dies fit in a desktop metal milk crate, and my paper in a 12x12 paper storage box. I have about 30 ink pads, about 8 spools of ribbon, and my embellishments almost fill two of those plastic divided containers. All of my gelatin printing supplies including the paints and plates themselves fit in a plastic Rubbermaid under-bed box under my crafting table.
I try not to count but my vow: when I have no more room in these containers, I have to purge! I have already started a bag to donate to our local Creative Reuse Center. I start to hyperventilate when I think about how much I love to shop for craft items — I don't have tons of disposable income, so I have to limit it somehow. I can bargain shop like a boss! But paper crafting is also my refuge and comfort, and who can put a price tag on that?
After buying a second (even third) punch I already had, I carry a well used, tattered little notebook with everything listed - punches, dies, emb folders, inks, markers, certain stamps (ie penny black, lighthouses, animal). My obsession for years has been punches. Got up to #350 on the punches, and got too tired to finish. Dies, especially detailed small dies, are gaining though.....recently did a reorganization of papers, donated boxes of different sizes, patterns, collections to the library kids crafts program. I know I should update my list on the computer or other device so I can sort, seek, find things easier, but dread having to enter all the information. Maybe when winter sets in.....
Oh my gosh I couldnt begin to count...just ask Sue...way too many to count....lol. Dies and stamps galore!
Amber is SO NOT KIDDING!!! It would be much, much easier for her to count the AREAS IN HER HOUSE where she has stuff, and it would still be a large number, lol! (She referenced her dies and stamps, but don't get me started on the paper - she could supply everyone on Splitcoast for a year and not make a dent - the paper that she gifted me EASILY multiplied my stash by at least ten times!)
I'm using a database program to organize all my stuff and I have 2700 stamps and that's probably half of my collection. I have dozens of SU! and other older stamp sets plus some singles I haven't added yet. I have over 250 dies and that isn't all of them either. I'm working still on Colour mediums (pens, ink pads, paints, colored pencils, pastes etc) and that's at over 150. I don't even want to know how many sheets of paper I have! And tools! And stickers and embellies! Oh my! I actually have few punches. Maybe 40 large ones and another 25 small and mini ones.

Re the insurance, I've done loads of photographs of my craft room, as has one of the posters above, but I've also done a 'video tour' of my craft room,as I have drawers full of stuff, as well as all those ring binders full of stamps, and photographs would not prove what was actually in them. So I videoed drawers opened, and flipping through the ring binders.Worth thinking about.

Oops, I have 1400+ dies! 236 different entries in my database but since many, especially alphabets have multiple dies in a set, it's way more than that!
