Default Has anyone accidentally cut on their magnetic platform?

Dummy me has. I almost had a heart attack. I could not believe it. My 1 week old baby already has a big cut ...I sure hope it's the last

Oh no!!!! My son was using it the other day and I was EAGLE eyeing him the whole time and kept saying- use the plastic sandwich every other time. I think he must have thought I was looney!!! But I love it so much I don't want it ruined! If it still works fine, then I wouldn't sweat it. Crafts items are meant to be used and loved, not perfect condition, right???!!!!!

I have done that a couple of times, silly me. It hasn't affected the platform at all. Although, I suppose continued misuse would eventually make it less effective. I wouldn't worry about it.

I read somewhere a suggestion to dotto an acrylic plate to the top - if you have an extra that would make sure you never did it again.

never thought about attaching a plate on top of it..thats a great idea..because knowing me, I would do it again without realizing I dont have a plate on top of it...hate to ruin something you really LOVE!!!

Hi Monika - after being warned about a million times, I did it today rushing to demonstrate the bee hive die... sigh. It still seems to be magnetic... how is yours since your 'goof'? Let me know - if you see this. Dummy me too!!!:(

I did the first time that I used it. I was SO EXCITED to try it out that I forgot the bottom cutting plate LOL. No harm done except there is a 3d outline on the surface now and if I do say so myself, that 3d outline actually looks a little 'artsy'...........

My LSS just told me yesterday that she knows a lady who now has the most expensive refrigerator magnets ever! Guess she really messed hers up! My big worry is that I remember it is magnetic and to not lay anything on it that a magnet would mess up!
