Has anyone ever used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist? If so, what colors would your recommend? Is it easy to use? Do you like the effect? It looks so cool, and I love the idea but have never seen or used anything like it. I saw it at eclecticpaperie.
I got some of the Wine n Roses with the Club Scrap kit in July. It's nice. It's really not different from the stuff I've made myself with Suave hairspray and PearlEx, though.
I sooooo want some of this stuff...I like the idea of getting silver or gold or copper...I can't wait to order some...what could be better than glitter that is sprayed on???

I bought gold glimmer mist and I love it. Wish I had more than 1 bottle. I also bought some copper, which I love and some coffee. The coffee is quite dark. I will have a card uploaded tomorrow with coffee on part of it. Then the last one I ordered was jazz blue. I haven't tried that one yet.
I want to get oyster, though. I like to do whatever Stueber (Shannan) does! Think of me as her puppy dog!

Quick, send me all your Crafty Secrets stamps! LOL
Sure! It's just a shimmer spray...you can spray it on for texture/light, you can use a darker color for a distressed, shabby chic look, and you can stamp over it once it dries
I love my Glimmer Mists! I think I'm up to 15 or 16 bottles now. I love to spray it on everything. There is a technique that you can do using simple stamps, too. I wouldn't use a detailed stamp. But you can spray one color on the rubber stamp (not foam or acrylic), then heat with a heat tool for a few seconds, then spray with another color and stamp.
Wow - it's pricey, but the colors are beautiful!! Is "Pearl" the closest to neutral/clear?? I'm thinking about getting Pearl and Gold. Do you mostly spray it on your finished stamped piece, or spray it on the stamp, or ???

Sorry, I haven't been back to this thread! I just buy the cheapy Suave hairspray in the pinky rose bottle. I usually dump about half into another spray bottle that I have around. Then add about 1/4 tsp. of pearlex to the hairspray. Shake well and voila! I especially love my copper!
Guess I'll have to be the odd one out...I don't care for my glimmer mist. Maybe I got a bad bottle or something, but large dots of the mist spray out on my cardstock and they are still visible after it dries. Shannan's is gorgeous IRL...but mine has never looked like that. There was a lady at the Great American Scrapbook Convention that demo'd it and she made a total mess of it. I decided then that maybe mine was ebay bound!!!

Good point. I did notice big "blops" with the Glimmer Mist in my Club Scrap kit. I noticed that they were in the instruction pictures too, so I knew what I was in for.
My cheap hairspray and PearlEx concoction seems to give me really smooth, even coverage. I think it's all about the sprayer, though. Some pumps work better than others, kwim?
I love SU shimmery white.. does it end up like that?
Yes, if you do the micro pearl pearl ex on white paper.
The copper colored Pearl Ex on Pumpkin Pie paper is pretty close to SU's metallic copper paper. You could also do the silver pearl ex on Going Grey paper for silver metallic.
I think there's a thread somewhere here with lots of paper and pearl ex combo "recipes."
