I see some blogs are free, but unsure of which one's are good and which one's are not. Could anyone give me some input. I would like to be able to post pics and journal. I am not very computer smart, so I am looking for a blog that is simple to use.
Thanks
Susan
I second that. Blogspot is great. It is what I use and it is very user-friendly.

www.blogspot.com is free and should meet your needs. It is very very easy to use!
Ditto this. I'm a complete dork when it comes to techno things and blogspot just holds your virtual hand thru the whole process--it's great! Have fun bloggin'!
Blogspot and the free hosted Wordpress are probably your best bets. They're SUPER simple to set up and offer a lot of great options. Plus there are lots of cute free designs out there for both so you don't have to have a plain design. I loved using both of them but now I use Expression Engine on my personal blog. I am going to start my own crafting/stamping blog soon. I just need to find some time to make myself a design! hehe Have fun!
I've been wondering the same thing - and now I have to ask: if you want to start a blog using www.blogspot.com, do you have to be prepared to sit down and set the whole thing up in one sitting?? How long does it take to set it up?
Wow - I'm really glad you replied and that I hit the link to your blog. It's now in my "favorites" and I'm certain will be beneficial when/if I decide to go this route. Thanks so much
Has anyone signed up to earn money off their blogs? by the hits? How does that work? How much do you make per hit?
I have a Google ad on both my personal and my new craft blog. It isn't per hit but per click. A person has to physically click the link in order for me to get credit for it. My personal blog has made me a couple of hundred dollars last year. There are many different ways that they determine the rate of payout per click. This is mostly due to pagerank. (Google "Google pagerank" to get more information on that.) My personal blog is quite popular so my pagerank for that is much higher than my new craft blog so the payout for my personal blog is higher and that is the one that makes me the majority of monies.
That is the shortened version, but you can learn more about AdSense Google ads on their website.
