Folding the pillow box die

I want to make several treat boxes with the pillow box die but it is much harder to fold that I thought it would be! Is there a right or wrong order to folding the diecut? I'm not getting nice crisp edges on the end folds that are curved.

Do you fold and seal the side first then the ends?

Also, do you fold the way I was taught with the *mountain* side to the inside?

I was planning to use SU cardstock to make the boxes, but would DP be better? Crisper edges?

I am using the *sandwich* I found under the Big Shot thread, but it is the folding I can't get down. Am I just a klutz?

I made some of these too, and thought the same thing about the ends. Eventhough I scored these pretty good, they are not easy to fold. I used berry bliss dp and am really happy with them, but not so much with the ends. Don't know how to fix that small problem. Once I got them folded they look great. I'll be interested to see if anyone else knows how to fix this.

Are you using the crease pad? Maybe a shim would help get a better score? I know that sometimes I have no problems whatsoever just folding the ends in, yet other times I really have to carefully work the fold and almost coax it into place.

I've used the crease pad and the shim and I still think the pillowbox is hard to fold. I'm making 40 of them and some fold better than others, I can't find the trick to it.

I do use the crease pad and the two shims that came with it. The crease looks good and the side parts folds easily. It's just the end pieces with the curve. As I'm folding, it kind of bends the cardstock and is hard to seal. I was thinking it was the SU cardstock - that it is just too heavy. I need to make at least 100 so I need it to go easily. And quickly!
