First let me say that I love Nesties! As far as which ones I love I would say all of them. Seriously though, if I was going to only buy one set, it would be the oval classics and scallops. I love classic looking cards and the ovals are just beautiful. I figured I could cut squares and rectangles with my cutter and I have several circle punches, so I started with oval and that is what I tell people. HTH!

Hi!

Well....I have many sets, and love most of them, but this set is the one that seems to fit my stamps the best and is the one I tend to use 90% of the time.

Deckled Rectangles SM - Spellbinders Paper Arts - Spellbinders

Check it out and as you can see, you have so very very many to ponder....

Best of luck!

Oh...and the best piece of advice I have for you regarding Nesties is this....once you start buying these, because you most likely won't stop with that first set, is to WRITE DOWN / RECORD the exact name of the set(s) you buy ...here's why...I have several sets and because I didn't know / understand initially that they came in 2 sizes, now...many sets later unless I take the time to measure them, I've no idea if I have the large / small or classic or whatever....so, when I told you above that my fav set is the deckled rectangles sm, it might actually be the deckled rectangles large!

Yikes....don't end up in this predicament....it's a real pain...

I love all my Nesties and probably use the circle (both regular and scalloped) the most. However, my favourite is the deckled rectangles. They are all great!

Those deckled rectangles are cool, I hadn't seen those. I had looked at some of the newer ones the other day. My, My they have come a long way from scallops and plains. Been trying to avoid looking at a lot of new products. That whole money thing...

I have many, many sets of nesties but the ones I use most are the circles/scalloped circles, followed by the classic ovals/scalloped ovals. You can't go wrong with basic shapes.

I tend to use my ovals and circles most. Plain diecuts with the scalloped one in back. Love that look.

I do like my oval and circle nesties and use them more than other nesties and have bought both the large and small sized ones. I also love the deckled rectangles & ovals, and the Labels 1 & 2 nesties - these are the other ones I use quite alot. And of course, you can just use the nesties for embossing a frame on your card - not just diecutting - which I really love about them.

I got ovals first, then circles. I didn't bother with the full sets, just got the larger size in the scallops. I use the various tags a lot for sentiments; haven't got the ornamental ones yet, but I use the double-ended ribbon tags and tags trio regularly.

Go look at the measurement chart (in my signature) then measure the largest die in your deckled rectangles set...and you will know whether it's large or small. I have my chart printed and tacked to my wall, as I buy a set, I mark it on my chart. Easy peasy!

Thank you for this!! I have lost (or lent out and never got it back) one of my circle nesties.. and unfortunately it's my most used size. I need to replace the entire set (boo), but didn't know if it was the classic or petite. Thank you so much for your chart!!

Great idea and TFS. Wish I'd known to do this when I started purchasing. It's all a big mess now.

I think the basic shapes are a great start, but if you want something fancier than a cirlcle or square, I love labels 13, and also the new ones, labels 16 and 14.
