I got one Fiskars corner puncher and with few uses I returned it. It was one of those that can do either a large round or a smaller ones. I liked the idea but the puncher itself was not up to the job. So, now I would like to get another one but figure I would ask around first for your favorite and why. Anyone?
Thanks. Be well
Miriam
WRMK Corner Chomper. A big tool with green handles. It makes 1/2" rounds and 1/4" rounds and has done a fab job on everything I've thrown at it thus far. Love, love, love it.

Another vote for the Corner Chomper. I have different ones from EK Success, Stampin' Up, Tonic and Fiskars and the Corner Chomper is the one I always use. (I've still kept the other ones because you can remove the corner guards and use them to make scalloped borders.0
Usually, if I have a punch that works well on heavy cardstock, it doesn't work on lightweight paper. The Corner Chomper works on copy-weight paper all the way up thru heavy chipboard. I've even used it to round corners on heavyweight heat-laminated documents and it works equally well. One of the best purchases I've ever made.
My vote is for the Corner Chomper, too. It is very heavy duty and can even cut through metal. The thing I like best is that it stores the cut-off bits so they don't fly everywhere. You just need to remember to empty it once in a while. BTW, I read that there is a new version with a yellow handle that rounds corners to 1/8" & 3/8". I'm not sure what those would look like, but it sounds neat.

I have this one and love it, too.

I see that I am among friends with the corner chomper. It works great on a wide variety of materials. What I like the most is that it takes very little effort to make it work. I used to use a small push-button Marvy corner rounder that was so hard to work that it hurt my hands. The corner chomper works so much more easily.
I have the small diameter and a large diameter EK Success corner rounders. I don't need it for anything thicker than cardstock, so these work well. I've had them for about 5 years and haven't had any issues with them. I got them at Walmart for about $4 each.
Corner Chomper for me too. I had the Round-It-All by Zutter (who makes the Bind-It-All) in both sizes (1/4" & 1/2"). The cuts were uneven - it's hard to explain, but a perfectly square piece of paper didn't seem to fit in the guides, so one side was rounded and the other side of the corner had a tiny notch. Tiny, but big enough to bother the heck out of me!
The only thing against the Corner Chomper is the hand strength it takes to punch through thicker materials. Sometimes I have to use both hands, which makes it difficult to hold what you're punching. I wish they could design one along the lines of the Cropadile - where you just lower the lever to punch a hole.

Oh, I have to echo the Corner Chomper recommendations. I doreally like it! While I have not used it on thicker material, I do believe it would handle the job well. As for card stock, it works perfectly.
I had previously used the Creating Memories corner tool and found exactly what uncbballfan/Linda stated with another brand, the tiny notches in the corners. I also had to press pretty hard to get the cut.
I would suggest using a discount coupon at one of the larger craft stores, as I think they run around $25 in price.
Another Corner Chomper endorsement. I got whatever the first size they brought out was - I think it might be 1/2 and 1/4". I know that they then brought out a couple of fancy ones, and I think more recently a different size of plain rounder. I really like being able to round the corners of a folded card base, something I could never do very well with my other punches.

Yes! I forgot about the being able to round thru both layers of the folded card base
The other thing I really like about them - I also bought the one that does the ticket corner (where it chomps a piece of the circle out of the corner). I have both the SU! Ticket Corner punch and one from Tonic, and with both of those I had problems getting the corner lined up properly inside the punch if I was trying to punch a long, narrow rectangle. Probably my own fault from rushing. With the Corner Chompers, it's easier to line up the corners in the punch and to see that they're lined up correctly, even if what you're punching is small. Ive punched corners on 1" squares (and smaller) with no problem. To do those with my other punches, I had to stick the square onto a bigger post-it note to get it lined up correctly in the punch.
Thank you so much for the education on the corner punches. I tried my local JoAnn and they did not have it. The web site has it, so I automatically thought I would find in the store. I may try Michaels too. Where did you buy yours?
Thanks again. Be well

Joanns.com when it was on sale. I too went in, only to be told very rudely that they couldn't possibly carry their entire online inventory in store. Fair enough but do you have to speak to me like a piece of poo on your shoe!??

Don't know what retail stores you have in your area, but I couldn't find the Corner Chomper in any stores where I live.
