Default envelopes

Do you order your envelopes for your cards online somewhere? If so where, or do you make them or just get the ones that are at Michaels or JoAnns?

I have used Marcos Paper and really like them , but think they may be a little high.

Any thoughts?

I usually get mine at Office Depot or Staples. They are pretty reasonable.

I know some people really like "nice" envelopes, and that makes sense for something like wedding invitations.

Most of the people I send my cards to are friends and relatives and don't pay much attention to the envelope, just rip it open to see the card.

I like to make 5x7 cards and was looking for a good source when I found a box at a rummage sale of 5x7 envelopes from someones wedding invitations. The white paper was really, really nice. I paid 50 cents for about 200 of them!! Do you know anyone who had a family member get married recently?

I have heard other's that have gone to print shops and were given leftovers for free. You might give that a try.

I make my own, only because I make all different size cards, and cannot often find an envelope to accomodate the card, plus I think it is cheaper to make them yourself and they are prettier.

I order from the above company. I usually get a few friends together and place a big order. They ship fast and have very nice envelopes.

I buy the ones at the office stores. Then I found a bunch at a thrift store.

Also I make a bunch. I make them out of old calendars, old children's books and old atlas books.

Since you are in Ohio take a little drive to Hollo's Papercraft in Brunswick Hills. I buy packages of 100 envelopes for $4.00 there. They have white, ivory and any other color imaginable. Their phone, for hours and directions, is 330-225-0911.

I've ordered from clearbags.com and cutcardstock.com and loved the quality and price at both places. I've gotten envies at JoAnn's but the quality didn't seem as nice as the ones online.

I also use the www.clearbags.com E120 envelopes. I order white and ivory. I always order in quantity of 2000 and including shipping is only $79.-- I cant remember the cents but 2000 for under $80.00 is great that is only like .04 per envelope. I highly recommend them.
blessings.

I buy the card/envie combo at J's with a coupon.

Pretty reasonably for just envies. And I use the cards, but in half for layering. I prefer a heavier weight for card bases.
