Default Embellishments at Big Lots

Sometimes I find good stuff in the scrapbooking section of Big Lots and today was one of those days:

Making Memories Attachment Assortment $2.00
(Here's a link to what the product looks like - over 167 pieces total of eyelets, brads, photo anchors, snaps, etc. The 3 colors my store had in Dallas were Aqua, honeydew, and sunsoaked.
http://www.quirksofart.com/stamping/...-honeydew.html

Cloud 9 Chipboard Alphabet set $1
My store only had orange but they had a bunch.
http://www.paper.com/Catalog/cloud-9...-alphabets.htm

American Crafts paper flowers greenhouse series - $3.00. These are in a tube with over 65 flowers in 3 colors. I couldn't find an exact link on the net. I wasn't sure if this one was a great deal or not? I haven't bought these before.

They also had some clear acrylic letters that came in a soup can that I passed up but I found them on the web (couldn't forget they said "creamy brocolli"):
http://www.joyfulscraps.com.au/index...ge/product/375
I don't know if this price is correct though for this product? Anyway I think they also were $2 or $3 at the most. Had tons of them.

Happy Hunting!

How fun to find such good deals. I will have to hit mine after work to see if ours got any in. Thanks for the heads up!

sounds like some good finds! I don't have a Big Lots store nearby (maybe that's a good thing...)

Ditto, except substitute freezing fog for snow. Itching to get those metal kits for $2.

about 60 days ago I found some beautiful half type pearls that were 12 to a pack for $1.00 each. I only bought two packages and now I wish I would have purchased all they had. They looks so elegant on cards...I went back a few weeks after that and of course, they were all gone...

Wah, wah, wah. That is the sound of me crying because I just went to my Big Lots and they had ZIP! Nothing new, not even anything old and semi-exciting. I actually walked out without anything in my hands. Wah.....I must try again next week. I want those Honeydew Making Memories assortment!

I went to my regular Big Lots tonight and they had the big zippo - nothing to even look twice at. I'm going back to the one I found "the goods" at in the morning and I'll ask them if there's a way to look the products up in their computers to show what stores have what? Or a product number you could call your local stores and ask? I'll post tomorrow. Good luck!

I love looking in our Big Lot's, We have two stores really close to where I live.

I always look for Cool Embellishments and ribbons.... Container's to alter.

Another good place to find Scrapping and stamping supplies at close out prices is Tuesday Mornings.

This too is fun place to go..

WE TOO are having Snow but not a Storm per say... Very Strong BRRRRR.....Cold Winds are blowing...

The Cat's are laying in the Heated Waterbed.

We have five Big Lots stores located under 25 miles from our house, and I've never been to one in the almost six years we've lived here! I know where I'm going tomorrow.

Tuesday Mornings are okay, but some of their stores look like such a mess. We bought some really inexpensive name-brand luggage there before a trip we took last fall. I've never thought to look there for paper crafting items.

Thanks for enabling!

You never know what you'll find at a Big Lots. Just before Christmas, I got some packages of microbeads (6/pkg) for a buck! I stop in whenever I happen to be in their neighborhood.

I got some rub ons and mini safety pin embellies there the other day. Their ad supposed to start Sunday said they'd have brand name embellies and tools. I've learned, though, to go Friday or Saturday, because that's when they put out the new stuff. If you wait till Sunday, it's gone.

I bought several boxes of the metal embellishments back in September but I don't have a clue how to use the hinges. Does anyone have any ideas? Keep looking at all the local Big Lots because all of them carry different stuff. I go to several different ones.

I've never used them myself, but I've seen them used on coasters to make little calendars or picture frames for a desk. You could use a crop a dile to punch the holes in the coasters, then use brads to secure it.

Here are the SKU numbers off the packages you can use to check inventory at your local stores over the phone - I think you just need the middle 9-digit number as that's what's on my receipt:

[QUOTE=stampinscrapnewbie;8395386]
Making Memories Attachment Assortment $2.00
SKU #179 520021974 3 087
same SKU # for all 3 colors

Cloud 9 Chipboard Alphabet set $1

American Crafts paper flowers greenhouse series - $3.00.
SKU #179 520022010 5 107

KI Memories Creamy Broccoli Alphabet Soup Acrylic Letters - $2

UGH, checked our store about an hour ago - nothing new. They did clean up that area a little, but nothing new since I was there the last time. I know the one girl that works there and she said they never know when something new will come in, but that is one department that isn't a regular delivery, so it's hit and miss.
