OMG ... I have been stamping for 4 years and never gave a second thought to my brads or eyelets showing on the backside. Usually I think I have them on a layer on the front so no big deal but I know I have made cards where the back shows on the inside. I still prolly won't cover 'em up but it's interesting me that most people DO!
Plus, the ribbon showing on the inside of this year's Christmas card held the wallet sized photo in place!
Mine, too!
I try to keep the brads/eyelets hidden. If it's an afterthought, then I just let it show and move on. I like the idea of cutting the prongs off and using CE, but wonder if I'll ever be that AR...
Here's what I do. take a 4x8 sheet of copy paper, (I use some ultra smooth bright white printer paper) fold in half, and glue to the inside front of the card. Leave the right half loose. This covers up your hardware and adds a nice professional look. It also is great when using a dark color base so that you can stamp or write a message inside.
I never cover them up. Many times I am using it on a layer that is popped up with dimensionals, so it's not a big deal. But if not, I just let them show on the backside. Doesn't bother me one bit. I don't care for the bump that happens when you try to cover them up, plus they can cause the cs to pull away if you aren't careful, too.
This is my opinion too! I really think it is part of the handmade look anyway. If I was selling them, I might do it differently, but for my own personal use it doesn't bother me at all.
