DH gave me an MP3 player for VD. I really won't use it (and it was the cutest hot pink.) So he told me to return it and get what I want. Yippee!
I am loving everything I see created with the Cuttlebug! However, it is not offered at ANY of the craft/hobby/scrapbook stores in my area. I am very anixous about ordering online since I have had one(out of one) situation burn me. I wouldn't even know where to go to look for a Cuttlebug!
Please help me out with your wonderful advice, gals. The gals on this site are always so sweet to each other and so helpful!
What is the difference between the Cuttlebug, Revolution, and the Big Shot? Which is offers a better opportunity to create? And what are some prices I can expect? MOST IMPORTANTLY, where do I find the Cuttlebug?
Thanks in advance!

I should add, there is a Cuttlebug FAQ stickied to the top of that forum that I recommend anyone read before starting another thread on die-cutting machines. (:
Sorry for posting in the wrong place. I wasn't sure I was up to gazing through *three zillion* threads. Thanks to those of you who decided to help me regardless.

LOL, nor would I.
But, should you have the time, there are some juicy bits of helpful info . . . it does take a lot of time to wade through it to find 'em, tho . . .

P.S. I haven't worked personally with the Revolution, so I cannot provide personal experience/info for that machine.
I tested the CB and the BS; both operate identically. CB has a fold-up platform and engages a suction mechanism to stabalize. However, unless you're working on a smooth as glass surface, it will disengage quite easily.
I stuck with the BS after testing both as the handle grip was better for my hand (tendinitis), and I found the CB suction mechanism annoying to contend with.
The newly released Sizzix BigKick is identical in function to the Big Shot, just a different color. Evidently BigKick is destined for chain stores such as WalMart, whereas the Big Shot is slated for marketing and availability in independent retail shops.
Do a google, and *many* online e-tailers are selling the CB, so it's not hard to find. Shop around. ;)
It will still be awhile before the BS and the BK appear "on-shelf", but you can order directly from Ellison/Sizzix, respectfully.
I ordered my BS at 50% off through costco.com when they had it; evidently they haven't restocked since selling out.
It is also available at joann.com , as is the BigKick and the Cuttlebug.
HTH,

I'm not familiar with the Revolution, so I won't comment on it.
After reading the comparison in JulieHRR's blog (the link to which has already been posted in this thread), I was seriously considering Big Shot ownership. Then I read more about the Big Kick, which Julie mentioned in the post just above this one.
I decided to choose the Big Kick over the Big Shot, because the Big Kick comes with a multipurpose platform which will allow you to use dies, embossing folders, and embossing templates from other manufacturers. The multipurpose platform is a separately sold accessory for the Big Shot.
I found the best deal for the Big Kick starter kit at costco.com.
I'm a lover af my big shot! My DH just bought me an alphapet set from quickutz that my Big Shots and I are LOVING!!!!! It's the 4 inch blossom font. Too cute!!
