DH went down the hill to M's this morning and bought one for my sister and I to share, then he went to W-Mart later in the afternoon to buy us the Tags, Bags, Boxes, etc. cartridge.
He told me while he was waiting in the parking lot for the store to open he thought he could "take" on all those ladies, but was a perfect gentleman at the opening. He managed to pickup number 6 of 8 available (so I wouldn't have been a perfect lady (LOL!) if he'd missed out, especially since he was the first person in the parking lot!)
Before you decide to buy go to the cricut website to see the NEW Cricut coming out in June 2007. If you want a Cricut now and want a GREAT price buy now! (I love mine and do not regret paying a higher price). But the new one looks really cool and cuts 12x12 and you can combine cartridges. Just my 2 cents.
I got the cricut - now which font cartridge to get?
Ok, I got the cricut for $139 this am - I was first in line at Michael's and got 1 of the 3 that they had - WOO HOO....so, I haven't even taken it out of the box, but want to know what is your most used font cartridge (is that what they are called?) So I know what to purchase next
Also: I have seen several samples of this cute bunny used on cards/projects and everyone says they did it on the cricut. Is that from a special cartridge and if so which one?
I just got my Michaels ad for Sunday (our paper comes a day early) and, while supplies last, Cricut's are going to be on sale for only $139!!!!
HOLY HANNAH!!!
I can't afford one because my DH just lost his job, but had to pass along the news!!!
ENABLER!!! Thanks for sharing the news. I got m for that prices as an unadvertised special from AC Moore back in January. Walmart also seems to have the cartridges for about $59.00.
Also sorry to hear about your husband's job hope things get better for him very soon!
For those who just got a Cricut, AC Moore is having 50% off selected cartridges this week. I know I have to go check it out since I just got my maching about 2 weeks ago. Got it at Walmart for $169. Wished I had waited a couple more weeks. Oh well.

Sweet about the AC Moore sale...headed there later today - thanks for the headsup! I had glossed over that part of the ad earlier in the week since I didn't have a CRICUT yet -now I can go shop- YAY!
I was also in line this morning before Michael's opened so that I could grab 1 of the 12 they had. I was told by the Mgr that I could not buy one ahead of time and return it today and re-buy it for the $139. Anyway, she said that this was going to be a huge sale this morning like the whole X-box 360 thing. I waited a hour-plus outside in the rain and ended up being the only one there. I bought 2. So. My question is: I know there was a thread somewhere about how deep to set the cutting blade, cutting speed and tension when cutting SU! paper. I know SU! has heavy cardstock, and after trying all the settings, I have everything set to max and it still isn't cutting thru all the way. Any ideas?? I know we have heavy cardstock and the instructions say that the cutting blade won't last long on heavy cardstock, but I can't get it to cut thru now and it's brand new!!
My Wal-Mart did price match the M's ad (I was there and home before M's even opened!!). Just had to have a CSM come over to override the price match since the product was over $50 (she said it was to prevent cashier's from giving their friends a discount on stuff they shouldn't). I'm in the KC Metro area and it was the Wal-Mart on Barry Road.

In my house, I've been accused of being the QUEEN Enabler! LOL :0)
Thanks!! He's been getting calls on his resume almost daily. Hopefully something will come up soon. He's a computer programmer. I told himn to look on the bright side, at least the house will get clean now! He said he's going to pull me out from the stamping room to help! (Fat chance!)
Did I just hijack my own thread?
Hope all you wonderful SCSers have a FANTASTIC day!!
I got one this morning. I was there 15 minutes before the door opened, then felt pretty silly when there was a stack of 15 of them on display! But our Michael's never has enough of anything so I wanted to make sure I got one!

That was smart going early, though. You just never know with these things!
Oh yea,(happy dance) I cut a Cricut at Michael's for $139!!! I am so excited (can you tell)? We actually don't have a MIchael's here in Rapid City, SD but my sister-in-law in Houston, Tx was in line and got the last one this morning. woo hoo!!!

Sorry i someone already said that. With the sale and the new stuff on SU! I am having craft-gasm.
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!
I phoned Michael's just before closing on Friday and the manager told me there was none in stock. He said they wouldn't be in till Sun or Mon. I didn't rush in Sat morning and they WERE on site when I called. Of course they were sold out by the time I realized, but I brought my Mike's flyer in to Walmart and they matched it!! Mike's did give me raincheck for the mix up, but I'm not too impressed with them right now....BUT I HAVE MY CRICUT!!! Thanks for the reminder!

Mama to 3 boys! 8yo, 6yo and 5yo!! Stop saying "I can't". You can. You just chose not to.
They might be very limited in supply, so if you can, I'd go to Mike's first and make sure you can actually get one at that price before you take the other one back to Wal-mart.
You can also ask if your Wal Mart will price match. Our Super Walmart matches prices on groceries and when I ask about other items, they said they would match it if you brought in the ad. Worth a shot, especially if your Mike's is out.
