Default Cricut owners help with blade

Ok, I cannot find my owner's manual and I need to change my blade in my original cricut(not expression). Can anyone help me? It's probably so simple but I cannot get the old blade out.

Thanks so much!

The blade is held in by a magnet -- just pull it out and insert the new one....enjoy.

push on the button on the top of the blade housing...which you have of course already removed from your cricut... when the blade is push out, grip it between two fingers and pull. the blades are held in by a magnet. To replace with a new blade, just insert the rounded end of the new blade into the housing, which will be pulled in by the magnet. be careful, as the new blades are very sharp. HTH ;)
