Why am I starting to see more OLO markers? For instance, Taylored Expressions is discontinuing the sale of Copic and is switching to the sale of OLO markers. What is the overall difference? Thanks.
you can 'refill' them, but it's still half a barrel that you exchange so IMO stlll like buying new marker as far as 'waste' goes.
you can choose which tip you like....meh that's not selling me on it either
and then you can make the double end marker 2 color with different tips, or two different colors
that is what I remember about them,
so when I looked them up, they are a liquid ink in the barrel vs the usual felty thing in there and double the ink inside than 'traditional' markers
I like them better because of the free flow of ink - they are more like a Karin marker than a Copic. Makes blending way easier. And Leigh Anne is right - there's an absorbent center in Copics which means you're paying for a portion of ink you can't use - ever, so they are more economical and hold more ink.
I just did the emergent color tutorial here and that technique is WAY easier with OLO.
I love Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Have had them for quite a few years now. They are refillable, but I have only had to refill a few over the years. They do not dry out either. The colors compliment the SU colors very well, and with the SU Blends too. Please tell me though, what are OLO? What do the letters stand for? I have not heard of them till now.

They are a marker you can mix and match by placing different colored ends together. They look interesting, but I am not ready to purchase any new markers right now.
Thanks Lisa. I’ll check it put. But I also am not looking to purchase new markers any time soon. I won a set of Chameleon markers a few years ago, and I can control the ink color with those as well. I find I do not use them over much. I think Spectrum Noir has come out with something similar to OLD.

My experience has been the opposite with Spectrum Noir markers. I've had many dry out, and the re-inkers have done the same. Some markers arrive dried-out. I'm slowly replacing them with Copics. For me they are tried-and-true, the ones I started out with. I've only had one bad Copic, and I think it was an issue with the cap.
Thank you for the info. I dislike the copic markers because of the blending (*or lack of). I will try the OLO.
I hear you with the (lack of) blending. When I was using Stampin' Up's Whisper White and now Basic White, I couldn't blend anything. I have switched to Neena Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, and I can blend much more easily. (I'm still no artist compared with posters here, but my friends like the cards I make them, so there's that.)
