If I am remembering correctly, the current in colors *should* retire with the current catalog. They are out for 1 year, so we should get a new set of in-colors with the next catalog! HTH!
This year's colors (Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point) will be discontinued as of July 1, 2009. The last day to order them is June 30th, and all orders must be completed and submitted by 11:50 pm Mountain Time (phone orders by 7 pm). However, I strongly recommend that you do not wait till that late to contact your demo. ;)

Another reason not to wait is that cardstock and other non-stamp items are not produced in-house by SU!, therefore they may run out before June 30th. Once the retiring accessories list is released in mid- to late June, these items are only available while the current stock lasts.

If you get the In Color ink pads, be sure to get the reinkers too!!! I know from personal experience, they run out quickly once the retiring accessories list comes out! I wanted a reinker, but I didn't get it, they ran out before I ordered it.
As a new demo exactly should I stockpile any of the "in" supplies. I have the ink pads with refills, a 12 x 12 pack of card stock for each color, a pack of designer paper for each color, ribbon retreat ribbon that's supposed to match each color. Is there anything else I should buy before it retires? I've got two months left and some of this will be gone. I'm excited to see the new but hate to see the old go:(
I won't be having any work shops until I learn the ropes which will take me a few months at least. At least I'm USING my stuff now instead of buying it and looking at it.

I only buy one package of retiring In Color cardstock, and even then only of my absolute favorite colors. Once that pack runs out, I've gotten it "out of my system" and can completely embrace the new colors.
If you're a demo, I'd advise AGAINST stockpiling stuff that's about to retire -- if you plan to be a business demo and do workshops and classes, once the new catalog begins, you'll have no use for it because you can't demo with it. I've found that I rarely ever reach for stuff once it retires, so buying a bunch of it is a waste of money and storage space.

I'm a demo but also scrapbook and give lots of groups of cards as gifts. None of my fam create cards... they all want me to do it for them! So, I stock up on the colors I love. Right now I have 3 full packs of piroutte pink so that I don't run out for a long time! I do stock up but it is only for personal use. I still have eggplant envy ink that has been retired for a looong time and still find occasion to use it. I also order extra 12 x 12 cardstock of in colors so I can use that down the road also. I love all my colors!
Thanks for the info. I'm just beginning to learn how everything works. That's why I'm not rushing into work shops. The whole process amazes me...how everything works.
I agree with the others, I don't think you should stockpile if you are strictly business minded in your demoship.
On the other hand, I am an avid scrapper and I am a hybrid demo (both hobby and business) so I will be stockpiling. I will be getting a few packs of each cardstock. A reinker in each color, and an extra double striped ribbon in my fave in colors. I know I will use it for my own projects.
