Has anyone seen those new stamps from Cat's Pajamas called It's a mod, mod world. The cat and dog images are so cool and I love the little cars and spacecrafts. I am so tempted to buy them but, being the practical woman I am, I am having a hard time justifying it. What kind of cards would you make with these? birthday? hello?
I'd just do them for general cuteness. I don't worry too much about cards being for an occasion. If it's cute and fun I send it to one of my cute fun friends.
If you love them get them and rock them out!
They do look perfect for kid's stuff, birthdays... especially boys because boys are hard, but they like rockets and stuff. Dog/Cat lovers... I guess I can't think of too many more really specific things for them
I do love them though and plan to eventually get them.. I think they are like 3rd on my "must buy" list.

I got mine a few days ago. They would be great for anything I just made one with the dog in the space ship. No theme I let people put their own theme in them... they are adorable.
My advice would be to hold off on buying the set until the Cat's Pajamas website has added some cards to their gallery that have been made with that set, and more in the Splitcoast gallery also, then you might get a better idea of how much use you would get out of the set after seeing what others have made with it. That's what I've been doing with the Cowboys and Indians sets... I've been having the same reservations as you.
If you still have doubts after that, you can wait until Cat's Pajamas has their Thanksgiving 25% off sale and buy the set then... that way you won't feel quite so bad about the amount of money you spent on the set if you regret buying it.
Just my two cents worth... from one practical woman to another ;)
I had to order them too! I have seen the characters before, but was never interested. BUT, when they added those cool spaceships, etc. I thought that was so neat. I will use them for a birthday card, a "hi card", etc. Just about anything except a sympathy card. I love the title of the set too. It's a Mod, Mod world. Too cute. Must be a take on It's a Mad, Mad World.
Mine shipped on Wednesday, after sitting in my cart for about 5 days...I am not sure about the poodles, but I know I will use all of the other stamps. I was sold on the dogs, the TV immediately. When it dawned on me how many family cards I could make with the cats, I clicked the payment button. I love the retro vehicles!
I love mine!!!!! It is quite versatile and if you check out the design teams creations, there is SO much you can do with the set. It's amazing! And a bargain at twice the price!
Aww..shucks, you're making me blush! Thanks so much for linking my blog. I love my TCP stamps. They are so fun and retro. Trust me you can use the stamps for almost every occasion.
I may be a little biased, but I think this is one of the best values you'll ever get for your stamping dollar -- there are 18 images/sentiments in "It's a Mod, Mod World," and they are chock full of limitless possibility. Not to mention the fact that they're just plain cool! ; )
TCP is da bomb!!! This set is on my list---I'll be getting it soon, along with some of the summer images. I think Its a Mod Mod World can be used for just about anything, but will be especially great for boy cards!
