Default Cardstock

Question for those who have stamped longer than I. I want to know some good places to get cardstock that isn't too expensive. Most I have is from SU and while I love it sometimes I just want some inexpensive stuff to play with before I go for the good stuff. Also sometimes I feel the need for instant gratification.
Any favorites for people?

When I first started stamping, I got some of the cheap cardstock from Michaels. I still use it for scratch paper and such, but it's not thick enough for card bases. It might be helpful to see if you can find a paper wholesaler near you. Check the yellow pages (or online ;) ) for paper suppliers. There is a great on in the Minneapolis are that carries all sorts of fabulous paper. Good luck!!

Default SU doesn't fail

Dear fellow bargin hunter:
Word to the wise. I have gotten cardstock from all sorts of places like Joann's, Michaels, Staples, discount stores. I regreted it. Waste of money. I was lucky to purchase some Bazzil paper from a discount store somewhere in Boston. But...and a big but. I started resigning myself to purchasing SU cardstock. Never fails in the quality. If you purchase cardstock get at least 110 lbs weight or else it will be too thin. You can use the thin stuff for matting or accents or even die cutting. So, having said all of this, purchase the best for those very special occasions or for cards for your loved ones, or those to sell.
Best of luck!

Well, in my area we have a store called Kelly Paper Co. Their paper can be quite expensive but they always have bargain bins. This is cardstock and paper that they will no longer be carrying for whatever reason. When I want paper for my nieces to play with, thats what I give them. Sometimes, I find some great stuff in there for me too.

I have to agree with Rosetta. I tried all sorts of paper before I became a demo thinking it would be cheaper. It is cheaper and cheaper looking. So, I became a demo so I could get the discount. Three years later I'm still a demo because I love the company and the people and ESPECIALLY the products! Good luck finding what you want!

Another vote for "don't bother with cheap card stock". I too thought I could save pennies by buying cardstock from other places, but realized very quickly that it was a waste of money. I would rather use SU. If for some reason you want to try out a new fold or something prior to using SU card stock, just use copy paper or something.

I know this really isn't the answer you were looking for, but I am die hard SU card stock user and won't use anything else.

I use either Prism or Bazzill.

Over here in the UK the SU cardstock is just too expensive.
