Ok I would l like to purchase this camera but have been reading threads and want to know where everyone is getting a good deal and what lens are you getting with it? I have also found it at Costco with 2 lens and a bag for $849. Is that a good deal? The other ones I have found are just the camera and a lens. I don't know anything about the lens so could some help me?
That seems like a pretty fair price. Which two lens do you get? I have the same camera, love it. I already had a bag and two lenses already, I paid a little less. Does it come with an extra battery, how about a charger for the battery? Is the bag one you would use for years or would you have to get a bigger one to hold everything?
I have seen better prices, but then don't know what came with it (not two lenses). Every addition costs extra.
I am not sure about the lens. But it comes with a battery, battery charger, a card not sure what size and am unsure about the bag. Where did you buy your camera?
Do they not come with a battery charger?
Ritz camera is the other place I was looking but am so not sure what else I would need with the camera.
I just bought our xti at Circuit city. For around 800, we got the camera, lens, 2 batteries, and a 4 gig memory card. I really wish we could of found the deal with the bigger lens. We went back for the 70-300 lens and they wanted 649! I thought my Dh was going to have a stroke! But we just came back from Mexico and the pics are amazing. I really love the camera. I have always had a canon rebel 35mm. This is my first digital.
I bought my xti at Office Depot over a year ago. I belive I got just the camera, battery and charger and one lens. I already had 75x300 lens I used with my rebel 35 mm, one of the reasons I bought another rebel, the lens are interchangable. I priced a wide angle lens at Ritz, out of my budget for what I wanted to do with it.
I need to buy another memory card, I take too many pictures I only want on the computer, then have to "wade" though all the pictures waiting to be printed. I edit every picture before printing so it takes awhile to get done.
At least I am not waisting film like I did with my 35mm.
I like my camera as much now as when I first bought it.
Yes--we have a 35mm 70-300 lens also and it is interchangeable. It really needs to be cleaned, so I wasn't able to use it on vacation. I really believe in the canon name. We had our first rebel 35mm for 15 years! It is an investment, but a worthwhile one.

I purchased at my local camera store. The body was about 500.00. I went w/a professional lens and need to go back and purchase a smaller (50) lens. I've heard about the bh photo. I just made the choice to keep it local w/our camera store. They have wonderful customer service and I'd like to keep them open.
