I run mine under running water and then roll it on a paper towel. It can get stained depending on the colors you use on it, but as long as it rolls clean on paper, you should be fine.
I usually give mine a spritz of my rubber cleaner anyway, then wipe off with a paper towel...I figure the rubber conditioner will help keep the brayer supple instead of cracking.
Step 1. Remove bryer roller from handle, and clean with a bit of gel type bleach and water, rince well.
Step 2. (If it is still not clean) put it in the top of your dishwasher and give it a spin, it should be pretty clean coming out, this also works with dirty acrylic blocks.
