Default Bold Butterfly Framelits

I recently purchased the Watercolour Wings bundle which included the Bold Butterfly Framelits. In the catalogue it had photos of the small butterfly cut out in vellum and attached to the bigger butterfly. When I have put the small butterfly through the cuttlebug on vellum it doesn't cut it properly, however will cut normal cardstock fine. Has any else had this problem? If so, any tips on making it cut properly. I would have thought that the cardstock would have been thicker than the vellum and would have easily have cut the vellum.

You could try cutting it along with a piece of cardstock. It is so hard to know what will work well and what won't. Intuitively I think that some things should work a certain way but I am surprised all the time.

Yes I used Stampin Up vellum. Tried even putting it through the Cuttlebug twice, but still didn't turn out properly!

I find that at times thin paper will tear or have a rough edge with some dies so I add a shim or use my metal plate and then it works fine.
