Well, I have to have it so where is the best place to purchase it online? I'm looking for quick shipping so I can have it in my greedy little hands asap.
You can get it at www.eclecticpaperie.com If you use SCS as your promotional code you get 10% off. I have used the 1/2" coils and the 5/8" coils. Those tow sizes seem to meet my needs well.
I've read all your Cuttlebug posts! You've been a great help to me, and I love your stuff too. So tell me which wires would be good to start with? I think I'd like 1/4 and maybe 5/16? thanks! Jan
It's waay too easy! And cute! Smaller than a 'Bug.
I started with 1/2" wires, but 5/8 would be very similar. After I had ordered them, I was afraid they'd be too small. "Everyone" was using the 3/4 or 7/8. LOL But they are just right for most purposes, I think. I made a notebook with coaster covers--both covered in printed paper and then lined with Basic Black CS--and *20* Whisper White CS pages. Fit just perfectly. I wouldn't try to put any more into a 1/2" wire, though.
Bonnie included some free samples of 1 1/4", which I think are HUGE! I ordered some 7/8" "just in case" I need to do something thicker. :-) And I threw in a box of 1/4" just 'cause they're cute and cheap, once I was already paying the shipping on the others. (I *really* like my BIA, in case you hadn't noticed!) These two boxes are due tomorrow.
The little ones appealed to me because I thought I could make little coloring books and so forth for almost no cost. On a different BIA thread, speanburg4 (whom we all know from coaster shares!) said her 1/4" wires needed a bit of maneuvering in order to work. Here is her post. So while it may not be as simple as I thought to use the tiny ones, I still think it will be well worth the price. I have some other cute ideas for this one, but I want to try them out first. One I've seen mentioned already is to use them to make attached coaster frames, instead of using hinges.
I've always wanted a binding tool--my Dad worked in printing when I was a little girl, and I was fascinated by the whole process--so I was a sucker for this one. :-) Lots of good Daddy memories when I'm using it. He would have loved it, too, and I could almost feel him standing over my shoulder saying "Get it! Get it!" LOL

This is where I got mine and loved the 10% off, super fast service and shipping. I used the 1 inch to bind a SU! catalog and the 5/8 to do a coaster book. Now I need some more wire sizes. It is very easy to use and cute to boot.

I just ordered mine-- with 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" wires! I can not wait to get it! Amy, thanks for all the info and Bonnie's address. When the order form asked "how did you hear of us?" I wrote "amysings from SCS"! You are officially now an enabler

OMG Bonnie is so quick on her orders. I ordered a couple packs of wires and I got it really fast! I was really pleased with the service. Will definitely buy from her again when I want more wires. I got my machine from the LSS tho before I bought anything from Bonnie. You can't beat the immediate gratification of buying at the LSS when something is the same price everywhere!

Oh Amy.... what memories you brought up....lol..lol I also have many good Daddy memories... I was a typesetter (in the early years of typesetter machines) and I worked at a printing shop that had a big Linotype machine... (the old way...lol), my those were the days. My dad and I were always doing something... I can't help myself with all the fun tools they have now for making stuff... I know I buy them 'cause it makes me feel closer to Daddy...lol..lol
I am really tempted by this, ladies!! I think I might check the Rubber Stamp Expo tomorrow morning and see if there is a vendor for this...if not, on to the 'net I shall go!!
I ordered a Bind-it-all on Friday from eclecticpaperie with the 10% off and I got it today and they adjusted the shipping cost (lowered them)! I'm so impressed! Only thing is, I'm one of those people who has to buy something when everyone is talking about it (this sight is not good for me!). I'd never seen or used this so do I cut the coils to the size I need and if so, how? Any users tips would be appreciated! Thanks!
Amysings, I saw all of your cute BIA books in your gallery. I just bought my BIA today. I need everyone to start making some books so that I can CASE them. I tried 2 different methods of covering the chipboard covers today and am not SUPER happy with either. How are you all doing this?

Thanks for the compliment! Here's how I make my notebooks. I am using 4" square coasters (medium weight). I cut a 5" square of patterned paper and glue my coaster right in the middle of it. (I use Scotch Quick Dry or Mono Multi.) Then I trim off a small triangle at each corner--leaving at least 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch of paper still sticking out past the corner of the coaster (if you cut too close, you'll have a bare spot; if you cut too far away, you have too much paper and it looks lumpy). Then I glue down one side at a time. After all that, I cut a coordinating 3" square of cardstock or paper and glue it over the inside of the page. Here's an example. It coveres up all my seams and makes everything look very finished.
You just have to make a few and mess them up, till you figure out what works best for you! I'm sure there are better ideas out there than mine, and I'd love to hear about them!
I've only done one book so far, and I just glued some paper on the front and some on the back, then I sanded the edges till they were smooth and "blended in" with the chipboard.
Depending on when you order from Bonnie, she typically can ship the same day as you order or the next business day. If you order in the morning, then it might be lucky enough to be shipped out that afternoon. I think Bonnie had mentioned to me that the UPS guy comes in the afternoon. I've had nothing but the best of service ordering from Bonnie!!

I haven't heard that Joann's has this. At least the Fargo store doesn't and I haven't seen in on their website. Some of the local stamp stores have it.

So you need wire cutters? Hmm, I'll have to pick up a pair of those. I got all kinda of stuff to go with mine - it's my b-day present from Hubby! What color coils do you find you like the most? I got mostly brown and black and some white.
Happy Birthday! Yes, you'll need wire cutters. I got mine in the floral dept at Walmart. I wanted a pair that wouldn't get stolen for other uses around the house. :-)
I ordered mainly white wires. My largest wires (7/8") are black. I honestly am not sure it matters. I ordered cases of wires from Bonnie, because they are soooo much less expensive!
I have black and white coils. Those two will go with just about any book I can think to make. I did want to get brown ones, but Bonnie was all out when I ordered, but I'll probably end up getting some down the road.
Okay, ladies, I bought my bind-it-all from Bonnie's Best. She's running a special that includes some cardstock and coil samples. You all are such enablers!
Ok, ladies! I ordered mine before I went on vacation and guess what was waiting when we came back today? You guessed it, a goodie box just for me from Bonnie's! I have finally finished unpacking an doing laundry so I should be able to play for a little while tomorrow!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!
Congratulations to all the new "Binders!" What size coils did you get? I need to make something bigger than 4". LOL I've been having such a grand time with coaster books and itty bitty books, that I haven't used my BIA to its full potential!
